If my great grandfather had blue eyes, is it impossible i have that recessive gene? (I have hazel eyes)... all of the other family members after him had brown eyes

Yes, my fathers eyes are pale blue. My mom's eyes are dark brown. My eyes are light brown.

My husbands parents both had dark brown eyes. His eyes are dark brown.

Our daughter has dark blue eyes.
