The egg dies within of 24 hrs of being released so probably you have less than a day.
I don't know why I got a thumbs down but I'm 100% correct- look it up.

You are right Amelia, the egg only survives for 24 hours, so although sperm can live up to 5 days, you only have a 24 hour window for the sperm to fertilize the egg. Therefore, you only have 24 hours to still get pregnant after you ovulate.

I have read that woman are fertile for a period of between 12 and 24 hours and sperm stay alive in the female body for up to 5 days. You just have to get the two to meet at the right time. Good luck

Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to six days — possibly seven. That's why most pregnancies result from fertilization by sperm that have been waiting in a woman's reproductive tract days before the release of her egg — ovulation — takes place.

I always cramp the day i am ovulating so if i had sex 2 days before, that day or the one after, i was damn sure pregnant. Everyone is different so pay attention to your own body. I know my 9th , 10th and 11th day of my cycle were my MOST fertile. Also How fertile is the male, good sperm court, slow ones, how long they last inside you?.

20 years. That's not a joke. Two ova can be headed down the tubes at once. In theory, the second one could arrive at any time. If your cycle isn't something you could set your watch by, don't rely on it being accurate. A double-length period could actually mean two separate (former) potential pregnancies.

Ovulation time is a guide for people TRYING to get pregnant. People who have no trouble getting pregnant can get pregnant ANYTIME, even DURING their period!
Let me be clear: if you don't want to be pregnant, use TWO forms of birth control, one of them being a condom, AT ALL TIMES!
