When I urinate,I find out I got some sticky liquid coming out after I pass urine, Is that normal? I did not have sex.

I was wondering what I can do to get the ball rolling.I am 36 weeks pregnant and I am dialated only to 1 cm and at plus 2. I believe baby has dropped more from what I can SEE. The contractions however are really bothering me and I can barely get good sleep anymore. I've tried sex and walking and spicy foods... I don't want to try anything medicinal but I'm just miserable. Is there anything I can do to make labor come on? Or at least help me progress some more. This is baby number three for me and I have never been so miserable in pregnancy.

I would! I would get speech therapy, oral surgery, whatever.... there's this guy at my work who's at least 40 something or whatever and has a lisp - I can hardly concentrate on what he's saying! I just sit there and think: "can't you hear yourself? didn't your parents care enough to either teach you how not to talk like that or find someone who could...?" I also think that about people with f'd up teeth by the way. I just wonder "didn't this person have parents?!" Yeah, I know I'm mean to think this -- but, since I know that I am that way, I wouldn't want to set my kids up for that from others....

I know that nature decides the gender of baby in the end but does anyone know of any sites that have tips on increasing your chances of one sex? If your going to say "be happy with what you get" dont bother to answer. I am happy with what i have been blessed with just curious on this subject.

okay I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have had heartburn the whole time but the last two weeks have been killer. Tums arent working anymore, and saltines arent either. I know dairy is bad but all I crave is chocolate ice cream and milk shakes. I was told that makes it worse. I have been waking up at night its so bad. Any more suggestions besides tums and saltines because they arent doing it. Im seeing the doc. on wed. but just wondering till then. Also I have been having these needle like pains at the bottom of my stomach in between my pelvic bones, my friend told me that was my body softening my cervix and me starting to dialate..is this true? Thanks for all your help!

I want my son's friends to hang out at our house. I am a stay at home mom and want to be able to keep an eye on my kids. (I know this instantly makes me NOT cool.) Let's say my kids are between 10 and 16. How can I make our rec room a place where the kids will like to hang out? Soda in the fridge? X-box or playstation? What makes someone's house a cool place to hang out?

My baby is 8 months old, no teeth, and breastfeeding. She still ahs no interest in food! She'll snack on a few cheerios and maybe one or two pieces of cooked carrots off my plate from time to time. Other than that she only drinks breastmilk, and only from me. She won't even take a bottle or sippy cup. My other child was eating everything by now! I'm starting to worry. Her pediatrician said not to worry, but that was back a month or so ago. I wish she would eat!!!!

I asked this earlier and wanted some more opinions. I was talking with my husband about this topic the other day and was wondering what other people think. We spent our teen years in Germany. There the legal age to drink was sixteen (really, if you could see above the bar you could drink). The legal age to drive was eighteen. I think this is a great idea that would be great for America as well. I know very well that if you are legally able to drink, go to bars, and live a “party” lifestyle when you are younger--it wears out of your system, therefore, when you are able to drive, you already understand the effects of alcohol and aren’t tempted to drive under the influence--meaning less DUIs and DWIs. Also, like I said before, it wears the whole “party” lifestyle out of you--so when you do reach about eighteen you no longer have interest in participating in those acts. As parents, do you think this is a good idea?

A couple days ago my husband and I got freaked out when our 18 month old fell out of a chair in a hotel we were staying at. After about 5 mins of crying she was fine but my husband wouldnt even let her out of his arms so she would scream bloody murder! He got really mad when I told him to just put her down...and after this fight he said that he doesnt want to have anymore children and it hurt me badly because before we even got married we both said that we wanted at least 3 kids but now after only 1 he's quiting! I personally think that its betrail. I guess my question is how do I cope with his decision?

My Daughter is 21 months old and seems to want to take care of herself. She brushes her own teeth , washes her hands, Cleans her place after dinner, cleans her room with me, with a bit of assistance can dress herself, and also helps me feed her little brother. I have a small child and have a husband in the Navy so I take care of them alone alot. I am looking for a simple pain free way to potty train her and still being able to care for her brother. Most of the potty training books I have read ask for 1 on 1 attention, unfortunatly its just me. The only 1 on 1 time she gets is our short time we spend coloring or playing outside. If anyone has a way I am all ears.

At my doc app this morning I was dilated to a two. That was about 10 hrs ago and since then I kind of feel like I could be in labor. My back is killing me and my stomach hurts every so often. I went into labor at 32 weeks but still couldn't tell when I was having contractions. The monitor would say I had one, but I still felt the same. Anyway I don't know if I am having contractions but my back hurts so bad I would almost give myself an epidural (just kidding). The baby was still for the longest, but since I've layed down she has started to move. Will they move when you are in true labor? Does anyone think I'm having contractions? I've been drinking water, but it makes me feel like throwing up and I have a really bad headache. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
