I would like to know if any woman who are due soon, are scared. Are u scared to become a mother, scared to give birth, or scared of the unknown. When I say the unknow i mean just have the responsibilty of someone else in your hands.

Is it OK to mention on a 1st birthday invitation that we don't need any more stuffed animals? If so, how would you word it?

Also I know people want to get a gift that would be used, what about a birthday wish list? How would you word it? Or is that just poor taste? Or should I have just one ready in case someone asks for it?

There are 6 (yes 6) children. 6 year old girl (typical), 6 year old boy (mildly autistic, behavior problems), 3 year old girl (typical), 3 year old boy (behavior problems, exposed to drugs & alcohol prenatally), 17 month old boy (typical) and 7 month old girl (typical). The oldest 4 we have adopted thru foster care & the 2 youngest are foster children in our home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know it will be expensive but I have NO IDEA what to pay. Thanks!

she takes off her diaper when shes wet, has peed on the potty, but has no idea when she has to go. i have to guess, and its not that easy. i know this isnt a snap, but i need another mommy's opinion on what i can do. i cant afford diapers much longer.

My 13-month-old daugher is getting over a cold and needs a teaspoon of decongestant once or twice a day. What is a better way to give it to her besides holding her down and squirting it all over her face as she writhes and screams. And yes, I am very sorry for doing this to my mom when I was little.

Do you honestly think, as a parent, there is a way to prevent pre-marital sex? Why or why not? Of course we want to protect our kids but what preventive measures will you take when your kids come to the age where sex is a possibility? he is not circumsized... we have been having unprotected sex for years now to try to have a baby but we got no result, maybe his nut is getting caught un the foreskin!!!! is that possible?

I know it depends on the child but most kids by this age are off of the bottle. The pediatrician said to just throw them away and forget about it. Grandma still likes to give him the bottle from time to time though. he asks for it alot as well. Will he eventually get tired of it?

You know I was having this discussion last night and I just thought if more of us as parents taught our children how to repsect us as parents and others we wouldn't have such a hard time.

So many times we try to be friends to our children instead of being parents. Some parents are even scared to discipline their children well that is why the society is the way it is today because the parents live in fear of their children and don't teach their children to repect them so why would they respect anyone else.

If we love our children we would discipline them and I am not telling you to beat them to a pulp either, but teach them how to respect take some authority as a parent.

My son had this procedure done two days ago and, while he does not seem to be in pain, he is constantly putting his fingers in his ears like something MIGHT be bothering him. Is this normal behavior following this procedure? The ENT specialist who performed his operation led me to believe that they are generally back to normal by the next day. Therefore, I would just like to hear from some parents with real life experience. How did your kids react to having the tubes placed? Did they play with their ears a lot after they had the tubes put in and, if so, did they stop doing so within a few days?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and the 1st that I have gotten acne with. I have it on my face,neck, back, and shoulders! I havn't had acne since puberty except for the occasional pimple around period and never on my body. Does anyone have anysuggestions for getting rid of it? I wash my face twice a day and obviously shower evry day. Has anyone used any over the counter creams or cleansers that have worked for them? Please help I am going nuts! I am 7 weeks.

ok, i like this guy but befor he said no to the dance, because he didnt know who i was, but he didnt even know me, so when it was 5TH per. i walked by and everyones like "thats des'ree!!!!" (des'ree is my name) and he was like blushing BIG time, and it only been a couple ays scince, and i want him to like me, a lil mre, or enough to go to the school dance..
