I have been potty training since saturday and she's has been going into the bathroom fine but we have only went pee twice every other time has been in her panties. I figure this way won't even have to have panties on. I have no idea what to do.

Or should I have both just in case she can't make it to the bathroom.

Try a kids potty- buy stickers and when she uses the kids potty she gets to pick a sticker and put it on the potty's exterior.

This was the only way we could get our daughter to consistently use the potty without accidents.

Once the potty was covered in stickers she 'graduated' to the big girl potty.

We kept giving out stickers only they went on a calendar instead until she lost interest.

It is hard for smaller kids to get up on a full size toliet and the delay causes accidents. Also witha kids potty it can be placed anywhere. We started in the LR where she could see it and be reminded. Setup a screen of sorts around it with furniture and a Bench to give privacy but she could see TV and her toys and hear us which made her comfortable.

Eventually the potty went into the bathroom and so did she.

You can buy potty chairs that have a removeable top (that will fit on the big potty nicely)... I think 'the first years' has one... (the bottom then turns upside down & can be used as a stepstool for the sink!) Potty training is a LLLLOOONNNGGG process especially with girls. But it CAN BE DONE! Just be patient. I would sit in the bathroom for hours with my daughter; we read books & colored, all the while she sat on the potty with her panties on the floor. When she DID finally go, she got a reward - a special treat or a sticker. Good luck to you AND your daughter!

You should have started with a potty chair. Imagine that you are the size she is...you sit up in the air over a hole, your legs dangle, you feel like you're going to slip in, the thing makes a horrible noise when you pull the handle...what child wouldn't be scared and not at all ready to tell you when she has to go?

The potty chair is the right size for her. She soon will be able to go all by herself because she can sit on it comfortably.

PS Stick with the panties and forget the pull-ups. Wet panties send a message that pull-ups don't.

When I potty trained my daughter she was 2 and half. I let her go all week w/out panties on, we have hard wood floors. It saved on laundry. lol But we tried the little potty and she just did not like it. She saw me use the big one and it wanted to try it. It worked. After a week she was about 90% trained. Keep trying it will work.

You could stay with the big potty and get a seat that covers it so a child can use it. she will feel more comfy sitting on a seat that is small like her. Potty training can take a long time. Patience is a must and just keep with it and be consistent no matter what.

I learnt on a small potty in just a couple days after many weeks of trying on the big potty, because with the little one, it was up to me to go on my own, i didn't have to ask someone to help me get up on the adult sized potty.

Also if you have more then one bathroom make one just for your little one to learn in.

You could try, but it may confuse her. You didn't say her age, but I know that Toys R Us sells small toilet seats that fit safely on top of mommy/daddy's toilet seat...Great for small tushies. Maybe taking her more often, like every hour would help...If not you could try a reward system for every time she uses the toilet. I used stickers, some people use m&m's, some toys, some coins to put into a bank...the options are limitless. If nothing is working after 2 weeks, then maybe trying again in a month or two is the answer...She may not be ready. Good Luck!!!

That sounds fine. Tell her she can use the smaller potty when she's in a hurry! Then she doesn't have to have an accident while she's waiting for help. Make it sound like a big exciting choice and she shouldn't take it badly. Good luck
P.S. no undies worked great for my niece she wouldn't go on the floor.

use the big potty , this will keep you from having to switch later, just a stool for her so she can reach when she is ready to go,and a child cover so her hieny doesnt fall in.and tell her how good she is when she tries..
