Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 September 2006

Ive heard that "doing it" the day after you finish your time of the month is a high chance of getting pregnant or "doing it" while your on your period is another way to get pregnant....Is there anyone that tell me if this is true cause Ive been trying to get pregnant for the past yr and half and Im willing to try anything at this point .... without seing a specialist about it. Please if anyone has something else to try...PLEASE LET ME KNOW...Thank You.

i am 40 weeks and two days pregnant, started to feel contractions in my stomach today which might or might not be early labor pains. I am wondering though if the baby is usually active before and during labor or does it stop moving?

A recent discussion among friends sparked me to ask this question. Among my friends there was a concensus that medical urgencies would be an acceptable reason for a mother to see her child without clothing at whatever age. For non emergencies the cut off age seems to differ for sons and daughters. This question specifically mentions mothers instead of fathers b/c very often it is the mother who takes care of the more private issues related to children.

Like behave well when out in public, use manners, etc...
I believe that these are should be expected qualities of the children not rewarded ones. The reward is a good/ well behaved adult. That is better than a freakin' piece of candy.

I like this guy that went to my old school and so does my friend. I have known him a lil bit longer but she was fake married to him at school and they kinda acted like a couple. Im going to the mall with both of them and i dont know what to do. Im 13 and hes 15. my friend knows that i like him. but she also said that she likes another guy which i dont know. I have known my dude for about 4 years and i want to go out with him, but i havent seen him for like less then a year thats why we are going to the mall. I am 39 weeks pregnant and I have had this constant headache. Tylenol doesn't help and neither does sleep. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it or what is causing it? I have no stress and I am very calm even knowing I can go into labor at any time! I just want the headache to go away!

OK. Well, why do we have nearly and entire generation of intellectual people from the 50's and 60's, most of whom were raised on homemade Carnation formula, who have gone on to be great philosophers, doctors, scientists, inventors, thinkers, and educators?

Do you screen your M.D. before choosing him to see if he was breastfed? If not, and he's a top-ranking surgeon due to operate on you, would you disqualify him and choose Dr. Biibbedyflipp down the road that was breastfed?

Would you yank your child out of her AP biology class after finding out that the teacher was formula fed?

If you found out Picasso drank goats milk most of his babyhood, would it make his work any less beautiful?

Suppose a formula fed kid grows up to be your precious breastfed Timmy's boss or CEO? Oh, Timmy should automatically advance from mail clerk to supervisor because of his infant diet?

My cousin is WAY smarter thn me. I was breastfed, she was formula fed. Has a PHd, I don't. What do I do?

Ok im pregnate and when i went for my 1st obgyn pap they tested me for stds , ext. and its negative but about 2 months ago i noticed these little bumps down there and there's just 2 of them and there there 24/7 and they kinda remind me of those little bumpb old people gets on there neck and stuff like there skin colored and doesnt hurt or anything .What could these be if my test are neg. and i know i havent got anything.
Also i had another one come up but it went away on its on after a bout 3 weeks but the other 2 has been there for almost 3 months now...Anyone every get these while there pregnate or not preg. if so what are they and how did i get them.
Also when i went for my pap smear dr. seen them and didnt say anything and tested me for aeverything.so not std .

ask a question regarding this guy a week ago but now im compltely confused. ok well first, one day i was walking past his desk and he poked me in the side, playfully, and i had never even said hi to him b4. then, today in class we were watching a movie and he turned around and started staring at me when i finally realized it was me he was looking at i stared right back. he kept smiling at me trying to make me smile back. then my hair fell in front of my eyes and he started leaning over to keep looking in my eyes, what he was doing was so cute that i finally had to smile. and then he smiled back and turned around. then rite after school today i was walking to my locker and i found out he has the locker rite next to mine. his bag was in the way of mine so i was standing waiting for him to be done. he realized me just standing there and asked which locker was mine, i pointed to it and he moved his bag and said "there u go" and i said "thanks", it was so sweet. is he intersted?

I do not mean child abuse, but physical contact, such as a light smack or hit to a child that would not cause bruising, but only minor and temporary pain. I pop rennies quite reguarly and im not pregnant yet and i do know its normal to get indigestion a lot during pregnancy. I know it is said that sex can help along labor. I am 39 weeks and 1 cm dialated as of 10 am yesterday. I was wondering for those that have tried sex as a natural labor inducer...how long did it take before it actually started to bring on contractions...I know its not the sex itself that helps that its the semen but when does it begin to help? This is my first pregnancy!
