Do NOT think you ovulate 10-14 days after your period. Everyone is different. Definitely get the Clearblue easy ovulation predictor kits and start testing them 10 days after your period to predict 24-36 hours in advance before you ovulate. I ovulate late and I always went off what everyone said and off ovulation calendars, but they didn't work for me. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!!

It's rare that someone will ovulate right before or right after their period. If you're one of the rare people that do, you would've most likely conceived by now after 1-1/2 years. You need to find out when you ovulate because that is your most fertile time to get pregnant. The easiest way is to buy and ovulation kit. My OB recommends the Clear Blue Easy kit. I used it for the first time this month and it worked great. The instructions will tell you what day to begin testing based on the length of your cycle. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of your period. Most women ovulate mid-cycle (about day 14), but not everyone. You can also increase your chances of conceiving if you have sex every other day. Also, you don't have to see a specialist, you can make an appointment with your OBGYN. There are many inexpensive fertility treatments available. It's possible you might have a hormone imbalance. If you use the ovulation kit and have sex when you are ovulating and still don't get pregnant, then make an appointment with your OBGYN. It took me 8 months to conceive my daughter and I didn't need a specialist. My OB did all the necessary tests and prescribed Clomid, which is a common fertility drug. Good luck.

You conceive about 14 days after the first day of your last monthly period. Wow. that was a mouthful. If your last period started on Aug 25, chances are u'll get preggers between the 5-9th assuming you have a regular 28-day cycle.
Also, if possible, try and let him *** before u. While you orgasm your cervix dips down and sucks up the "sperm." Leave the "sperm" inside you...which I'm sure you've tried.
And if you haven't already...start taking prenatal vitamins...and begin a strict regimen of healthy eating..and drink plenty of milk..like a liter of milk each day. Relax and go with the flow...if everything is ok I'm sure you'll be blessed soon enough. If you really want children bad, a trip to the doctor/specialist just to make sure all things are "GO," wouldn't hurt! Good luck!

I have never heard of those two way you said , but I know that 14 days from the day you start your period is when you're ovulating
I would start trying on the 10 to the 16th day just to make sure
Good Luck

It is very unlikely that you will conceive during or right after your period. Most women ovualate 14 days after their period of 14 days before the next period which comes out to the same day either way. so 14 days from the first day of your last period is when you will ovulate (most likely). you have about 72 hour window to do it.

Regardless of when you have sex, you may not still conceive if your body is not yet ready to become pregnant.

You may be one of the new emerging species of human who are longer living, and maturing slower at the beginning of their lives. According to a study released in 2005, women who cannot conceive, and we not using chemical birth control, until well into their 30s, have an average life span of 90+ years. The theory is that simply matured slower and their bodies were not ready to conceive until then. Forcing the issue by the use of artificial means may actually damaging their long term health, making them more receptive to breast cancer, just as women are who had their first baby as a teenager.

Due to this change, children may not be mature enough to enter school until 7-10 years of age, in just a couple of decades. So, be patient. If you don't have one until you are older, just remember that means you may be around to see your great-great grandchildren. Also, only 13% of the elderly have significant health problems until the last years before they die. Check out recent stories on the man in California who died at 112. He only died because he had viral pneumonia, otherwise he was in great shape.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
