Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 September 2006

my period was late by almost 3days( i say 3 days because it didn't come until like 2 or 3am) and i know that i could be pregnant but i got 2 neg. HPT last week but it still feels like i could be. but now it is here but it is not like it should be, things r happening that never happen before, its not as heavy and its kind brighter then usual along with a brownish color, and last night i was really sick to the stomach but i never threw up and the cramps r worse then usual and i got a little light headed. i still have the same symptoms as before(tender breast and nipple, throwing up feeling but it got worse, cramps) but now i have legs cramps and i don't think iv'e ever got those during my period. would it be smart to get a blood pregnancy test tomorrow? if so does anybody know how much it would be? thanks everybody

I am 19 and I have been with my bf for about 2 and a half years..he doesn't want to use protection and thus I accept it b/c I love him and I don't want to lose him but on the other hand I don't want to get pregnant as I am still at University. Is there a remedy where both of us can enjoy sex but safer, obviously he uses the pull out method otherwise I am during my safe period if he keeps going. Don't suggest condoms or pills b/c he does not feel comfortable with it and he doesn't want me to take any pills as they may damage myself. Are there any other alternatives?

Hi to all the experienced moms and dads out there! My daughter is 4 years old and MAY have have early signs of chicken pox. Have to wait and see if more red spots appear. She feels fine so far. She goes to day care and I know it's very possible for kids to get contagious infections in daycare and schools. Any suggestions on how I can help ease any discomfort she might get or just something in general that would may things go easier...thanks! I also have a 13 month old child. Is this too young for him to get it?

We do NOT live in the UNITED States so therefore we do not get the same vaccinations as 'ya'll' do! Unfortunately, Americans seem to take for granted that everyone on here lives in America. I am American, but live in Europe.

I always put my daughter to bed awake for bedtime and naps. She has no problems falling asleep on her own. At 3 months she started sucking her thumb and would put herself back to sleep if she woke up during the night. She is now 7 months and has stopped sucking her thumb. She has gone from sleeping through the night to waking 3 or 4 times. When she wakes up I usally nurse her and put her back to bed. I've tried putting her thumb in her mouth etc, it doesn't work.

i am prolife but everything changes when its ur life at stake. i just turned at 18 i have a decent job at a bank and wed i start college nights. ihave had the same boyfriend fora year but we still have problems communicating. my boyfriend is only seventeen and is still in highschool once he goes back to t school hes prolly going to be working at typical high school job like mcdonalds. i dont have anyone 's support but his my mom has already kicked me outbefore for stayin out pas 11 what am i going to do with a baby when i dont have an education yet and my bofriend is still ayong im going to mess up his future. i love kids ij ust didnt think id be having one o young. what should i do

Have messed up cycle so dont know when period is due. Did the Clearblue at 8am this morning it was neg but at 12pm it was showing a very thin but obviously blue line. Is this a evap line or did the test just take longer to work. I waited 10 mins after using the test to check for changes and there were none. I am experiencing cramping sore boobs and was sick last night and cant eat much as everything is making me feel sick. I also did a First Response test today and it was a definate neg. Any help appreciated. Thanks. xxx

As most people know he is dead. :o( It is so sad. Hubby & I have been very blessed to meet him 6 years ago at the LA Zoo. To make a long story short, Hubby knows the head of the zoo, Mike Dee. And we were invited to meet him and listen to him speak there. So we have pictures of us with him, terri and Bindi. So our son knows who he is. our son is 4 months older then their son Bob. I told him that he is with the angels and that he will watch over all the people who love animals. But, I don't know what else to tell him. Any ideas?

PS: Does anybody have the address to his zoo? I can't get on to his web site.

my mom got really upset when she found out about this but i really dont see why, if he's still getting my milk? and when i do try to breastfeed he chokes, spits, and cries so id rather feed him with a bottle. but then again,will that mess up his teeth later on since he sucks on a bottle or pasifier almost all day?

my parents own 3 houses right now they do what you call house flips so two are being rented right now one however is vacant. my friend rachel new were the extra keys were kept and she threw a party at the house. she called to invite me as if nothing !!!! i am really mad at her my mom thinks someone broke in and trashed it and will be filing a police report about it should i tell her? there was at least 500 dollars worth of dammage done to house i dont want to get my friend in a lot of trouble.

Noone I know has vomited in labour - and my midwife says in her 25 year experience as a midwife its not actually that common - she says it happens to about a handful of women a year out of the 100s that are treated at the hospital. But I read so many birth stories in which women say they were sick in labour, I don't know what to think.

As I'm an emetophobe (phobia of vomiting) its actually scaring me as much - if not more - than the thought of the pain!

Is it mainly due to pain releif or to other reasons and is there any way you can avoid it? My midwife says that as I'm going to the hospital to have my baby they can maybe give me a shot of antiemetic.

Ok last month me and and my girlfriend had unprotected sex once. He period was late by a couple days but she got it and she said it lasted five days like it normally does and it was like it normally is. We have not had sex at all this past month. But alot of changes in our lifes has occured and i know for a fact she has been under alot of stress all month. Her period is late again..and last night for some unknown reason she threw up her dinner. But this morning she is fine and she had no clue why she threw up. Was it just the food or is she pregnant. i am 24 and just got married and july 06 and have been trying since

i was here a month ago asking if i was pregnant or not. i had many signs and would read others ppls signs. i became paranoid and thought i could not have children. i thought maybe there was something wrong with my husband. i went as far as setting up to meet with a fertility dr and when i found out everything was ok. i decided i would go on birth control because i was having bad acne. i called my dr for a precription and she said not to touch the pills until i got my pd. i laughed and thought oh i will. then they day before my my pd came i took the ept test because i peed more than regular and had back pain and even UTI. I had the cloudy urine and the bad acne that would not go away. i did everything, bought everything and nada. my husband also slept alot. everyone told me to relax and that it would happen. i kept thinking about millions of woman who cant have children and i was sure ppl told them the same.

Me and my boyfriend were having sex because were inlove and he used a condom and it broke inside of me and he cummed inside me but the sex wasnt even that long and like after that ALOT of sperm came out. I'm worried that i might be pregnant.
