The name is made up and your child will be associated with trashy romance novels. It's not original and it's worthy of being insulted. It is one step above Heaven Leigh and don't you dare consider that either.

I think it is a nice name. A word is only offensive if it is meant offensively. I think that Its a brilliant idea! If someone was to me 'this is my name, its heaven backwards' i would think that they were perhaps a spiritual person and that they are proud of it. Just make sure that this is definitely what you want. I think something like this would build character and definately make your child unique. Dont worry about what people think. I think its a beautiful name and if you name her it in the way that you want it to be intended there should be know problem. She is your child and this is your decision no1 elses, and you do whats best. :)

of course it isn't bad. For starters, names are only that, names. Second, in other languages than English, this sure wouldn't spell "heaven" backwards.

This being said, my take on names is that you don't want to have fun for yourself at the time of naming, but rather that you want for your child to have a nice, good-sounding name, one that will suit as many circumstances and milieus as possible, given that you don't know what will happen to that child.

To me, "nevaeh" does not sound like such a name.

When I first started reading your question I thought how beautiful I love the name. Then when I kept reading and finished your question. I am not sure.

I think that speaking in tongues is speaking backwards. at least it is shown that way is horror films.

I would refer to your church and ask their opinion. I think the name is rather spiritual sounding.

If your heart is filled with good intentions, God would see it that way too.

I had a teacher who believed even saying the words heaven or hell was blasphemous.
Dont pay attention to these uber conservatives.
If you put the "n" in Santa Claus in the back, it spells SATAN Claus, yet no-one's banned him from Christmas yet.
I think it's a lovely name, and you shouldnt pay attention to all the silly mother grundies out there.

I love it, and I dont know why it would be satanic the word heaven, people are so stupid, dont take so personally all the comments you read on line, if you dont mean any wrong with the name, then it wont be wrong at all, go with it!

If you think it as an anogram, then its meaning could imply that the person is heavenly, not Satanic. As there is no official meaning to the name yet (it is recently created) the only meaning it currently can have is that which you give it. I say use the name.
