Of course this is not true? How old are you? Babies inherit their looks from both parents although they may resemble one parent much more than the other. Sex of the child makes no difference at all.

It's different with everyone. My husband and I have four children ages 16, 7, 5,and 3. The 3 yr old is a carbon copy of the 16 yr old. The 7 yr old is a copy of his father. The 5 yr old is a copy of her mother. Non-caucasian people claim that my husband and I bare a striking resemblance to eachother. Our parents disagree and both think all four children look exactly like the -in-law. I notice parts of both of us in all four of the kids.

My baby girl is the mirror image of her daddy! I was upset by this as I couldn't see any part of me in her physical appearance! However, my mum showed me a picture of when I was a baby and I was amazed to see that my face in that photo is exactly the same as my daughters face now! She may have her dads hair and eye colour (and ears!) but hopefully as she grows I will see some of my traits in there somewhere!

Actually, both my baby boy and baby girl looked like their father when they were babies. It's only now that my daughter is 3 that people think she looks like my instead.
I actually heard the myth in reverse -- that girls look like their fathers and boys look like their mothers.
My brother has 4 children (3 girls and one boy). The first girl looks like him, the second girl looks like his wife, and the third girl looks like her grandma. (The boy is still a baby.)
So, in short, no, it's not true, and when they grow up...it depends on the child.

My wife and I have 2 daughters one looks like her side the other looks like mine ( My wife always teases me saying there's no way you could deny this one (the youngest)) lol. Also in my family I have a sister and 2 brothers me and my sis look like our dad, but the 2 brothers don't look like mom or dad more like my grandmother. So to answer I'd say it's a myth.

I don't think it's true. I've had people tell me that I look like my dad and others have told me I look like my mom. When I take a good look in the mirror I can see both my mom and dad equally. It's kinda freaky!!!!
Have a great day!!!

Human nature can make you want to seem. Kinda like once you're driving down the line and also you spot a useless animal on the line, no count number how a lot you tell your self "do not seem" basically once you get upon it you seem.

I have a baby girl and she looks identical to her father. No one can see the slightest hint of me in there at all. It's quite funny really, she's a little clone of her father. But much prettier.

I look a lot like my dad and my son looks a lot like me... so the myth isn't true, at least not in our cases
