i dont get the age of consent law at all. okay like 18 year old girls can date and screw 50 and 60 year old men. but if a 15 year old and a 16 year old have sex then the guy can go to Jail?? how is that even fair or right at all? now if its rape yes i see why its illigal but yea not if your 15 and 16??

yes i see what your saying. but a 15 year old is not that immature. sure some of them are but most arnt. and i live in michigan and yes a 15 year old cannot have sex with a 16 year old because i went threw this and the 16 year old could go to jail. and sex is just for making babies if your animals. everyone knows that Humans have sex for fun and also to make babies. and if your 15 and you use birtcontrol you should be able to have sex. i think that if your matture enough to protect your self from STD's and getting pregnant then you are matture enough to have sex because you know the consequences and you are smart enough to where protection.

i know alot of mothers who are 24 and are horrible mothers. and i also have a friend who got pregnant at 15 and when she had her baby she mattured up and it a VERY good mother. just cuz someone is 15 does not mean there not matture. most are immature but there are some that are not. just like there are alot of 18-25 year olds that are immature and cant handle kids it goes both ways.

I noticed you are getting a lot of wrong answers...lol. Depending on your state, there are age of consent laws. Here in Ohio the age of consent is 16. My fiance and I started dating at 17 and were having sex. He was 20 at the time. 2 people under the age of 18 can have sex any time. Neither is overage so they won't go to jail. A 16 year old can NOT have sex with an 80 year old man. There are LIMITS to these age of consent rules. in most places, the age of consent is 16 BUT there can only be a maximum of 4 years between the people. Say a girl is 16 and the guy is 19; it's allowed in states where the age of consent is 16. Say a guy is 16 and the woman is 35; NOT allowed. Do you get what I'm saying?

Im curious what state you are in. There isnt a single state that says a 16 year old boy would go to jail for having sex with a 15 year old girl. Consenting sex of course.
In washington state here, the age of consent is 16. They have have sex with an 80 year old man and be ok. God help us. Vomits.
As far as the younger ages. If a boy or girl is say 19 and has sex with a 15 year old, there will be a problem.
These kids can screw who they like and be considered of age to know what is good for them at 16, yet they cant vote because they are considered to immature, go figure.

bc at the age of 18 you are more mature. Honey you might think your mature at 15 but when your 18-19-20 you'll see that you really weren't. I thought the same and now I look back and I was not mature at all! trust me at 15 you have poor judgment! I'm saying from a teens point of view. From a mothers point of view I wouldn't lock u a 16 y.o but an 18 y.o with my 15 hell yea BC the level of maturity is different

depending on your state this is different, but even an 18 year olds parents can push the statitory law, it just depends, a 15 b year old is just thought to not understand thier body enough to make such a major desition. i know how cleche' right, but i know, im 21 and have 2 kids one is almost 4 i dont regret it but i wish id thought about it alittle more. talk to an older person close to you believe me theyll listen.

age of consent laws vary from state to state..like if the consent law is 18..then at 18 you can have sex legally..
some states the age is 15..if your 15 and 16..you can have sex legally..
