Did a Clearblue HPT this morning. Showed - result. A few hours later showed a very thin blue line. Reliable?

Question

Have messed up cycle so dont know when period is due. Did the Clearblue at 8am this morning it was neg but at 12pm it was showing a very thin but obviously blue line. Is this a evap line or did the test just take longer to work. I waited 10 mins after using the test to check for changes and there were none. I am experiencing cramping sore boobs and was sick last night and cant eat much as everything is making me feel sick. I also did a First Response test today and it was a definate neg. Any help appreciated. Thanks. xxx

You'll never never ever have a false positive. The only way that line would show is if you have the pregnancy hormone in your body, and the only way you can have that hormone in your body is if you're pregnant. So wait until tomorrow morning and with the first urination do it again. Good Luck!!!

The test was negative, depending on the test, there is a time limit where the test becomes invalid. Usually ten minutes, but you'll need to read the instructions. It is common for a line to show up after a certain amount of time elapses. I would buy another test and wait a couple more days. I'm 8 weeks along now, but in March I thought I was pregnant and I ended up having early pregnancy signs with sore boobs, fatigue, and illness. When my period came all those signs went away. I get sick really easy and with this pregnancy I didn't actually start getting morning sickness till the middle of week 5 (now it's horrible and I'm ready for it to go away.)

The HPT is one of the most sensitive and specific tests that I can imagine that could be done at home. It can detect HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin-the placenta hormone) at levels something like 25 IU/ml, which is just as sensitive as a blood test. However, to be accurate, it needs to done exactly as the directions specify. If it is not positive at the time indicated, the control samples can diffuse over to cause a faint positive if left there long enough.

I know you are being very wishful. But this test was not even weakly positive. Best wishes for healthy conception and gestation in the near future.

i've got had various adventure with exams, and that i hate to assert it, yet blue line exams are infamous for those skinny blue "effective" lines. I had a guy pee on one and wager what-skinny blue line! My suggestion is to take a pink line early consequences attempt, as they have a tendency to be greater precise. And definite, you're able to have a pretend effective. I had a sparkling Blue elementary digital arise Pregnant in below 30 seconds as quickly as, whilst a blood attempt confirmed there grew to become into 0 hcg in my equipment. sturdy success!

The box should tell you to disregard the test after 10 minutes--mine did anyway. I would take that as a negative and take another brand.

I would either take another test or get a blood test done at your doctors office.
I have never heard of a false positive on a pregnancy test. You could be pregnant.

Results are un-reliable after 10 minutes unfortunately. That's not to say that you're not pregnant though. Maybe it's still too early for your hormones to be detected

yu should go get blood done maybe your hcg level isn't high enough to show it. You could be preg.!
