This is my first pregnancy and I am 41 weeks. Today I went to the doctor and she said I was 100% effaced and 1 cm dialated this morning. This afternoon I went to the bathroom and noticed a blood tinged mucus clump when I wiped. Could labor be near?

I'm a 24 yo old who just found out I'm pregnant. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow with the OBGYN to see how far along I am. My boyfriend and I are together and they like him a lot.... I just want to know how I should tell this to my parents considering I'm in college still and live in their house still.

Kids 12, 13 & 14 having sex, talking about getting pregnant, being in love....What is your hurry to grow up? I don't get it. Beleive me, you don't have a clue about what the consequences of your actions are, until it's too late that is.

My son is 5 he keeps touching his face, nose and especially the top of his head, like he is smoothing his hair down. It happens mostly in social situations. He has speach problems and doesn't always understand what people are saying to him, it happens a lot then too. It must be stress related but are these tics? and should I be concerned? He has done this for about a year now on and off.

How many parents operate and tell kids 'under our roof is prefered and ok' with teen couples 4 safety?

Ie going the oposite of don't ever briang anyone over to this house for sex or making out. The complete opposite pretty much on the basis you are happy they aint the lonley nurdy one no body wants to date or be freind with.

but more so as under your own roof is far safer then going off into the woods or wherever.

As a controlled environment maybe with hidden panic button, condoms, hidden weapon say cs spray behind bed board.

Or just folks in the house with only a light bolt on the door for privacy that breaks easy...

Maybe with fake photos around the house of dad in army, winning martial arts prizes, with biker gang buddies etc.

Subtlely saying u can date my duaghter, even bone her but hurt her you are history...

Likewise sons

I had my first baby 10 months ago via c-section and even though I take care of my incision area, it's still sore and itchy. The scar actually looked uglier compared to the early months, now it's raised and dark. I'm wondering if the scar will ever stop hurting and will it lighten over time? I'm sometimes worried about it and asked my doctor, but he claimed that it's normal. I suppose that it has to do with different tissue and rate of healing in different people. I just want reassurance and get a feedback from other women in similar situations. Thanks.

My son is going to be three next month. He's very bright, active and verbal but has expressed basically zero interest in his potty. This does not bother me or my wife too much, but his daycare is keeping him with the 18-month -to- 2-1/2 group because he is not potty trained. The older kids have better activities like swimming and a computer, and he's the oldest kid in his class now. It makes us sad to know he's missing out so we're going to encourage him to use the potty. We've bought some undies for him to wear at home and some pull-ups for school. I'll be helping him by showing him how the equipment works. Do you have any tips to help pique his interest? Thanks in advance.....

I want to be sure to avoid nipple confusion and I was wondering if any moms out there know from experience which bottle is best? I've looked at Second Nature, Avent, and Gerber and I'm unsure. Thanks!

I got it about a week ago for the first time, and its still going. Today in school, i put in a tampon around 7:30, and took it out around 11:50. It was leaked thru! I had to throw my underpants out! Any suggestions? Do i have some strange disease? Or did i keep my tampon in too long? (I left it in 4 hours 20 minutes) i'm only 13! Help!

I'm halfway through a 4 year university pursuing a Nursing degree, living with my fiance, we're happy and doing well. The problem is this damn urge I get to be a mother... I know this is COMPLETELY irrational and a very bad time to have a baby and trust me WE'RE NOT TRYING. It's just so strange, when I see a toddler or a pregnant woman I almost get jealous and I need to somehow stop this drive inside me because it is not a good thing at this point in our lives. (It also doesn't help hearing how much each of our parents can't wait ti be grandparents - mine are already planning where to build the swing set !)
Please don't give me any speeches about how much work kids are etc etc.... I realize all of these things and that's why I want this issue to stop. If we had a baby now we wouldn't be able to give it the best life possible, and that doesn't seem right to me.
Anyone with this same problem : what did you do to hold of this feeling for a few years? Would getting a puppy help?

I dated this guy for a little over a year. He broke up with me and then I went through a rough patch with my grandmother passing away and finding out my father has cancer. A month ago I found out I was pregnant and told him. Its his, from when we were still together. He told me he'll be there for the child but wants nothing to do with me. Told me that he wanted to be my friend, but its just so hard and we keep fighting. I'm 20 and he's 22, he's going to college 2 hours away from me and won't really be around very much. He keeps giving me false hope though telling me that we'll see how things go between us, that there still is a possibility we'll end up together, but then he'll ignore me. Should I keep trying to be his friend or should I just forget about him and raise this baby by myself?

I have all boys and my oldest is 11. I notice, even with the 8 year old, they are getting really stinky! Isn't this sort of early. I am noticing more coarse hair on the legs on the oldest two. Even the attidudes are changing.....they never went through the terrible twos, now it seems they are. Anyone else have this with their kids at this age or should I be concerned? Thanks
