Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 August 2006

Four days ago, at school, a group of girls just grabbed me and then punched me in the crotch many, many times, giggling. I fell to the ground. They just stood there laughing for a long time! Then I got lucky because it started raining heavily, and I heard them run away. Not long after that I almost throw up my lunch. When I finally got up it was not raining anymore, and so sign of them.
My girlfriend asked me what was wrong with me, I told her and she laughed! I am still a bit sore. I am very scared, they are too many, should I get a taser gun or a baton?

Were you raised with too much spanking, swatting, beating, threatening, fear or too little? Is todays 'too little' parenting worse, better or about the same as previous 'too much' parenting? is there something in between 'too much' & 'too little'? Are you using the 'too much' or the 'too little' method or something in between?

Why doesn't my toddler come when I call for him/her? when ya'll find the answer........make sure you tell me, cuz, my boys have selctive hearing to, they hear what they wanna hear......... but, I love them...ha ha

ok there is this guy and he is 1 yr older than me and he is single....he plays soccer- i dont but all my friends do and they always scrimmage his team and practice w/ him......next yr.- i want to join the soccer team so i can see him but i dont know how to play soccer. I dont want to join the soccer team and make a fool of myself b/c i have no clue how to play. how can i learn how to play b4 i join the team??? he is really hott and i m like obsessd w/ him!!!!!!!!!!!!i think i would be good @ soccer b/c i really athletic but i just dont no how to play!!!!

My son is almost 17 months old and climbed out of his crib for the first time last night. He continued to climb out 4 more times immediately after that. The next night I left the side of his crib down do decrease the chance of him getting hurt. I put a safety gate in the hallway so if he did get up he could only come to my room. That didn't work though because I woke up @ 3am to him saying Mama from the other side of the gate. He can obviously climb anything. If I put him in his toddler bed, how do i keep him safe from the rest of the house if he gets out of bed while I'm sleeping? Any suggestions on how to resolve these problems?

My mom and dad live 100 miles away from eachother and are on really bad speaking terms. I live with my mom, and go to school here in the week and my parents switch off weekends for custody. I am 15 but my mom still treats me like a child, not taking my feelings into consideration. I do everything for her: get straight A's, play sports, try and help out around the house, but still we get into huge arguements and trys to tell me what i really want. Well, what I really want it to live with my dad, because I'm unhappy here, and I don't see him enough. But she goes on telling me things like "you're just anxious to go up there this weekend, that is why you are saying these things." I've even been harsh sometimes but she makes excuses for everything I say. I can't really do this anymore. What do I need to do or say to my mom to get her to really take my feelings into consideration? What do I do to make her realize how much I am hurting living here? We need change. I'm unhappy.

I was tryin to get my girlfriend pregnant for a whole month and the followeing month,she didn't have her period till the end of the month,which is today...and normally she'll have her peirod the first week of the month...and she even claimed to have the symptons of pregnancy,during this month...could she still be pregnant?

I am getting extremely annoyed with family and friends (people that don't normally call so much) calling and coming over literally spying to see if my vehicle is still in the driveway so they can find out when I go into labor. I have asked them all to please let this be a time for me and my husband since we were the only ones there at conception =). I'm afraid that they will try and make a grand appearance at the hospital when I'm in labor and after we bring the baby home (afraid that they will come over as they please). Please help me with what I should do in this situation as I do not wish to be bothered by everyone right now and would like to keep visitors to a minimum. Thank you. Millie

This morning I woke up and noticed a dark ring around only one of my nipples.... Is this an early sign of pregnancy? Is it normal for it to only happen to one nipple? Has anyone else experienced this and found out they were pregnant??? My period isn't due for about 10 days, though I can never tell cause it's so iiregular.

It really gets me parents that believe spanking is a horrible. They want to give them time out. Oh please. It they are acting terrible, you should adjust that attitude. Apply the rod of disiplent to the seat of their pants. I think hitting a child anywhere else is terrible. You go to Walmart and swat your child on the butt and there is always a idiot who wants to look at you stupid or say something.

I just went to the doctor today and she said my cervix is 60-70% thinned out and I was dialated to 2. I know you have to be 100% thinned to push but when you get that far will you dialate more or can you stay at two
