Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 July 2006

Well let me start by sayin I'm 13 and a couple of months ago my friend got busted with a bunch of stuff (illegal stuff) and I took the blame for it cause my friend doesn't need to get in n-e-more trouble or she'll get sent off! N-e-ways! Last night I went in my moms bathroom and I found a pipe (one you smoke with)! I haven't confronted my mom but why do parents get onto thier kids about doin somen that is wrong when they are doin it to! Please help! E-mail me! (mariepink93@yahoo.com)

I have a 6 week old who sleeps fine in my arms or in my wifes arms (laying down or sitting up) but as soon as we put her down in her swing, chair, bassenet, or crib she wakes up and starts crying and it takes quite some time to calm her down. We have tryed all the suggestions that the baby books give us as well as most of the baby websites. We don't want her to get used to sleeping with us but it seems it is the only way that any of us get any sleep right now. Any thoughts on what to do?

im 20 years old today i had my period in May 3 and didnt in June, July. I feel diffrent and tired alot, going pee non stop it feels like and my bobs are tender, my friends all say that im way to moody then usual and going to bathroon alot more then they ever seen me do. sometimes i dont want to get up in the moring i just want to keep sleeping and i feel sick when i get up in the mornings and sometimes before i even go to bed. i just dont fell like my self and its hard to explaine because i never felt like this before. i have heart burn alot and when i want to eat my favoret things i just look at it and i want to be sick. im a smoker and when i smoke i feel really sick which i never had before. my mother said she seen some diffrence in me as well as my friends. whats also strang is not even a mouth i lost alot of wait i was 180 then i lost to 165 then i gain to 179 which its strange becasue i have hypothyriod and it hard to loss weight. im sad,then happy, mad,cry,laugh, for no reason.

I've loved the closeness and the convenience of my baby daughter cosleeping with us since birth. But now that she's 13 months old, when she wakes up at various points in the night she cries LOUDLY and thrashes about until given the nipple. (Her development: I say she's a baby because she's not QUITE a toddler yet, but it does seem like she'll be walking independently VERY soon. She loves to stand and to walk holding our hands. She eats a varied & healthy diet of solid foods (everything we eat!) and has nursed since birth. She's healthy, happy & wonderful!) I'd love advice. I do have a crib at the foot of our bed that I could try placing her in, or I could try moving it to another room (our place doesn't accommodate her own bedroom). In my perfect world she'd sleep right beside us, (it's such a precious experience!), but no longer need to nurse, though I'm questioning how such a feat could be accomplished.

hi everyone

alright i have been talking the pill but skiped some days
i am 2 days late with my period but i took 2 pregnacey test and come out negative... so i waited one more day and took my moring pee and it come out postive.... so too make sure i took another one this moring and now again its negative and i am having my period dark brownish... so what is wrong am i pregnant or not... i am feeling dizzy , i have cramps and i am constipated and i pee more ....i lost my appite as well.
please help me and tell me what is wrong should i take a nother test

I'm 20 yrs old and I had a girlfriend for 9 months. 8 days after we had sex last time we broke up. Now, 2 months after we broke up, she came to me and told me she is preagnant. I going to be giving birth soon and I don't want anyone at the hospital until we have the baby. Everyone thinks that's so rude. My husband and I would like it to be just us because we had to carry the baby for 9 months. I explain to everyone that we just want our little family there not everyone. They just don't understand. Am I wrong for wanting it to be this way?

I figure we would let everyone come after the baby is cleaned and comfortable, the same goes with me.

Everyone in my house are HUGE Red Sox fans. My daughter (age 2) mentioned to my son that Big Papi was black. My son (age 4) corrected her and informed her he is African-American. My husband and I corrected him and said Papi is Dominican. My son's question was how can you tell? We don't know how to answer him. We only know because it's Big Papi. We taught our son to respect people's heritage and that the outside "color" doesn't matter. He accepts this and isn't worried about the color. He just doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Is there more politically correct and non-hurtful terms to use when you're not positive? Or does someone have an answer I can give him?

I am going to be 39 weeks 1 day pregnant at my next appointment and that is 20 day later than my last. I am not getting seen every week and am very concerned about this. Granted I am having a healthy pregnancy I am a first time mother and get very worried still. How do they know he will continue to stay healthy? That my amniotic fluid in the sake has not depleted or his heart rate has slowed. I have heard some awful stories of problems unknown till the last weeks of your pregnancy. I called numerous times complaining I want to be seen sooner and they refuse to see me before my next appointment even though I offered to come in on the drop of a dime if there was a cancellation. I just want peace of mind and they said I will not been seen weekly till after my 40th week. What should I do???

Before then my breasts were sore for 3 straight weeks.Now after it ended.We kept trying and trying.But now..my period is about 2 weeks late...I feel like its about to start again.I usually get 1 bump on my chin when its coming on..but now I got 3 bumps on my chin and 2 on my jaw.Starting to break out.Feeling a little nausea.Slept for 12 hours yesterday.When I lay on my stomach I feel some sort of beating at the bottom..who knows..could be veins.But sometimes on the side of my stomach it feels like popcorn popping really fast an then stops.I have a friend that had her period for 4 months and didn't know she was preg..what do u think?
