Well let me start by sayin I'm 13 and a couple of months ago my friend got busted with a bunch of stuff (illegal stuff) and I took the blame for it cause my friend doesn't need to get in n-e-more trouble or she'll get sent off! N-e-ways! Last night I went in my moms bathroom and I found a pipe (one you smoke with)! I haven't confronted my mom but why do parents get onto thier kids about doin somen that is wrong when they are doin it to! Please help! E-mail me! (mariepink93@yahoo.com)

Mah parents are the same way like mah mom she tells me not 2 smoke(cigarettes weed black&miles etc.) I mean I do newayz but so does she so I feel like y should I care wat she sayz i mean she does it. Im 15 Im gonna do wat I want regardless so it just makes it worse the mah mom does the bad stuff I do its a real bad example. so in all i dont know y parents do that i guess their trying to look out 4 us but when they do the same thing were doing thats just messed up.

First off, you made a big mistake by taking the fall for your friend. By you doing that, you got a bad rap. Your friend needs to face the consequences of her own mistakes if she is going to ever learn from them. It's tough to turn away from friends, but it's also sometimes necessary. Once a doormat, always a doormat. As for the pipe you found, there could be a logical explanation. You have to come straight out and ask your mother. I'm sure you are old enough to know whether or not you are being lied to. Confront her and look her in the eye when you do. It will amaze you the respect you may just receive if you do that rather than jumping to conclusions about your parents. Just because you found a pipe, don't assume they are using it. Parents are always looking out for our best interests and don't want their children to get hurt or repeat their mistakes. Keep that in mind when you think something is not right.

1. Because they do not want you to make the same mistakes that they did
2. Because you are 13 and they will get in trouble for the things that you do.
3. Because they are the parents and you are the child.
4. Because you are not old enough to make the adult decision to live with addictions and its life consequences
5. Because they love you and do not want to see you get hurt
6. Because you are 13 and should not even know about these kinds of things
7. Much less where to get it
8. Because children are supposed to outlive their parents
9. Because you do not REALLY know what your mom is doing with that pipe.
10. Because you are the bratty child running around with the wrong crowd and defying your parents. These are the same friends that will get you in major trouble in the future- oh yeah, they already have!

First of all let me tell you never take the blame for anybody because it stays on your record for everything its going to come up (I know I took the blame for my boyfreind he was on probation and we got pulled over and he said they won't search you you have a clean record well like a dunbass I believed him and they seached me and found the stuff on me and they took me off to jail I had berly turned 18 and I kept my mout shut he didn't even bail me out or go see when I was in there) so don't take no ones blame it's not worth it I say take your moms pipe and smoke it and she cant ask you do you know what happened to my pipe cause then she would end up busting her self

For one thing, get yourself a new set of friends! No friend is ever worth getting into serious trouble for; in college a friend of mine was constantly shoplifting (I actually caught her once and suspect her of doing it in my presence a further couple of times) and smoking pot, and her stoned, spaced out attitude eventually turned me against her. I came close to reporting her but soon afterwards, she left college.
As for your mum's smoking, well, she's an adult so she has to make her own choices. The pipe may not even be hers. However, if her behaviour worries you because she seems high or 'on' something, then you are perfectly within your rights to confront her about it.

Well, sorry to say but some parents never grow up themselves. They still act like a kid. They forget that if they don't want their children doing things like smoking pot then they should set the best example and not smoke either. The saying goes :do as I say not as I am doing:.

Just because your parents do wrong does not mean you should do wrong. And your parents have every right to correct you when you do wrong. Wait till you are grown and have a family then you will understand.

you need to talk to your mom ,no matter what you or your mom does you 2 need to be able to talk to each other about anything.she shouldn't have stuff like that out for you to find.If things go wrong after you try to talk to her maybe you should move with a relative.

Because they think that since they are the parents their like god. Smoking is bad for anybody.
