Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 July 2006

I have a family history of miscarriages in the first trimester. I'm only a month along, is there anything I can do to help prevent anything from happening? I'll obviously go see a doctor, but sometimes other women who have been through the same thing know best!

I am 17 and prego...i have taken to of the "Clear Blue" digital test which both said "pregnant" i am going to the dr. thursday...but am i supposed to be cramping...???after the cramps i either get really sick to my stomach or just about pass out! is this normal???? HELP

I have OCD with seeing people thow up.. I sometimes call it "barphobia". Anyways, me and my husband are planning on having kids... and I'm kind of scared that I'm going to see a lot of throwing up in the next 12 years or so... and its not like "eww barf" I seriously go bizerk... like I cry and scream and then I throw up whenever I see it or even think about it... do you think I'll be okay?! If not, do you know any ways I could get over this phobia? I might have to go to the doctor for it..

well my dad knows and its on my right arm and its a picture of the dominican and puerto rican flags crossed together like an X (i am puerto rican and dominican) and if my mom see it she might flip but my dad said he going to cover for me what should i do?

when they find out I am married or that I plan to get pregnant next year. I just say, "No, I am a grown adult, thanks."

How do I respond?

They assume I am a teen and pass judgements on me.

I am a grown woman with a house, career and a college education! I am MARRIED and planning a baby at 24 and people look at me like I am a child.

Does anyone get this attitude? When you became pregnant or got married did you get judged?

ok, my daughter is 11months old, and first off, she gags herself all the time over and over, also, she has been banging her head on things and then fussing, but then goes back and bangs her head on something again...she does this on purpose, and another, when she does something she's not supposed to, i would point and tell her no, u can't do that, well she points back at me and babbles as if to tell me no, what can i do, how do u really punish an 11 month old?

my period was june 15th. I was suppose to be O end of june begin of july.my period was suppose to start today or tomarrow, nodda yet although this morning i woke at 6 a.m and had really bad cramps in my lower belly but there is a tightness there 6dys now. ache in the lower back . but no AF. I have dizzy spells and my eyes'll role for a sec. I have very bad headachs in my frontal lobes left sometimes then right for a few seconds to minutes. I go to sleep really late around 1 a.m almost every morning but no matter how late i wake up whether it be 9 a.m or eleven I am dead tired when it come time for my son(5) to take his nap at 1:30, I feel like I am hot all the time mainly in my face and i go through hot I am only 24 years old. I have this weird taste in my mouth like as if i took pepto bismol and has had it for about 5 day's now. I am 11DPO and my breats feel just a little tingle like a cold one and my nipples itch. can any help me out here. i not sure what to look for in symptoms

I have had my piercing for a few years, when I get pregnant I don't want it to close up.

I may not want to wear it after I give birth depending on how I look, but I want to keep it open just in case.

Did you wear your ring until you had to take it out? Is there a special ring I can buy for pregnant women?

Any advice?

I am a nursing student by night, work at six at morning till early afternoon, don't see kids much or hubby for that matter. I pay out the butt for child care, and I AM EXHAUSTED! my sister wants me to quit my job and sit her two young babies. I don't want to be broke, but i am already more in dept by working due to daycare.
Help, what would you do, quit the stressful but experience needed job to sit at home with my two kids and my sisters two kids? will i be able to handle being home all of the time?I'm not sure what to do, sister says she wants to pay me, but i don't think that is right..... OOOHHH WHAT TO DO?

I have been posting so many questions regarding my son & his fussiness & let me tell you being a parent is the HARDEST thing ever! I guess as a mother I just wish everything was black & white, when he fussed I could fix it immediately, but I get scared about the fussing because what if something IS actually wrong even the dr says nothing is. He will be SOOO good for like a long period of time on some days he wont even fuss once and he's like an angel then other days its from the moment he gets out of his crib until the moment he goes to bed (and he always has the same sleep schedule so its not because hes tired) but lately he has had some diarhea and diaper rash from that, and he doesnt want to eat much, when you pick him up he pushes away, when you put him down he clings to my leg for dear life, he pushes his toys and his sippy cup away, but he sleeps great at night and most people say if they're sick they wont sleep thru the night. I just feel like I should be helping him, but how

The doctor told my sister that we needed to start putting rice in the baby's bottle but we had to buy special nipples for the bottles so the rice can come out. I can not find them anywere I tryed walmart, Kmart, the baby store at the mall. No one seems to have them. Does any one no where to buy them at.

After you take the test and it's positive, then what do you do? Do you make an appointment right after you find out? With who? Your gyno, is that who you see about pregnancy? Is the gyno you see for your yearly paps then one that takes care of your pregnancy? VERY CONFUSED!!! :) Thanks

We are weaning my son from the bottle (13 months), (he's down to 1 bottle a day) but he refuses to take milk from sippy cup so he is basically drinking juice all day long and has begun to get diarhea. Im hoping its only from the juice and not something else so I have started him on gatorade today, but I wanted to know
1. Will juice cause the poops
2. How can I get him to take milk
