I have had my piercing for a few years, when I get pregnant I don't want it to close up.

I may not want to wear it after I give birth depending on how I look, but I want to keep it open just in case.

Did you wear your ring until you had to take it out? Is there a special ring I can buy for pregnant women?

Any advice?

If she has had it in for 3 ears than it gained't p.c. up in any respect. She desires to get rid of it because if she would not her well being care service will. If she receives extremely vast or if her abdomen button comes to a call to go back out on that's own the ring or bar bell with ripp by ability of her epidermis, My abdomen button did it, all because I were given a stretch mark proper by ability of the position my abdomen button replaced into pireced and are available out cam the barbell. good success and congrats, and those plastic ones do an same. No her abdomen button wont be defromed after the toddler that's going to go back to established till she leaves that piercing in and it pops out. OUCH thats purely extra discomfort that she ought to go throgh and exertions is hard adequate

I am 16weeks and I just let mine close up. I knew a girl when I was in high school that tried to keep hers in and she got a really really bad infection and it looked HORRIBLE after she had the baby. My advice would be to take it out and just have it redone that is what I am doing ( As long as I still have a belly button visible when I'm done!!) It is not smart to leave it in the whole time it will stretch that hole out and look really bad.

I took my ring out when I was about 5 months, but it would put it back in about twice a week and keep it in for about 10 minutes. That way if the hole starts closing up it won't because you're sticking the ring back in.

My sister got a longer flexible barbell while she was pregnant. Yeah, it loked horrible then, but doesn't the entire bellybutton look bad at that stage? Then after the baby was born, it was a little stretched so barbells didn;'t work too well but hoops and horse-shoe barbells look perfectly fine.

My sister's looked ridiculous, so she took it out. It did close, though. I don't know about a special ring, but even if your belly button doesn't pop (mine hasn't), it looks BAD!
Now I just regret doing it because it's nasty looking!

i wore my ring my entire pregnancy i took it out on the day before my due date and i put it back in when i got home from the hospital ( my due dat was the 31st of July and i had my baby the 4th of August and i went home from the hospital on the 6th) and the hole did not close up. So u can leave it in and closer to your date you can take it out then put it back in after

They make rings for pregnant women that are bendable, so your hole won't tear. Do a search for "pregnant belly ring" or something like that, and you'll find em.

there most likely isn't a special ring (maybe something flexible), and if you did try to keep it in, you would probably increase your chances of infection. Just get it repierced later.

I had heard that one way was to tie floss (please make sure its clean/sterile!!) itno where the piercing was. This way its flexable as you'll grow, and it won't close up. Just make sure you move the string around every so often so you're skin doesn't start to regrow around it. I guess you could kinda call it belly floss :)
Good Luck

you can use string or yarn and change it daily, but honestly, you may want to just get it redone. My whole belly shifted and the ring would have stuck out funny..
