They're hungry, have a dirty diaper, any number of things. Newborns wake up every 2 hours for food.

The same reason newborns have a hard time moving from place to place. A baby doesn't know *how* to do most things adults take for granted. When it comes to sleep, a baby doesn't have the skills to relax and fall asleep by her/himself. It's not a "sleeping issue"; it's a matter of developmental readiness to learn a new skill. Your job as parent is first to *teach* a child that relaxing is the way to fall asleep, then to help the child actually relax.

sleeping issues? no. But they do need to wake up every few hours because their stomachs are so small that the food intake goes right threw them. Then they nap then they need more. Their little bodies are still growing and they need the food to strength their bodies.

YES!!! Their natural clocks haven't been "set" yet. It should pass with age. Also, their bodies need LOTS of nutrients. This means that they MUST feed many times a day and night.
