Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 June 2006

I am really worried how my 3yr old will take the news. He was really attached to the puppy.(My other son is 1yr old so I know he won't understand and would just be as happy with any puppy) Luckily they are away for the weekend with my sister and have no idea right now. I am going to wait until they get home on Sunday but what would be the best thing to tell him? Would it be a good idea just to go get a new puppy before they come home on Sunday? Would that make it easier?

i have tried the brat diet that the doctor always suggests and i have now given him pedilyte. what else can i give him. he isnt complaining of stomach pain or anything he has no fever either

I WAS TOLD I WAS HAVING A BOY, I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD BOY NOW AND MY FIANCE HAS TWO OTHER BOYS FROM PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIPS, BUT THE DOCTOR SAID HE SAW A SCROTUM SAC IN THE ULTRASOUND BUT DIDNT SAY A PENIS, COULD HE BE WRONG? DO I STILL HAVE A CHANCE OF THE BABY BEING A GIRL I REALLY WANT ONE SO BAD. HE DID SAY HE THOUGHT BUT NEVER SAID CERTAIN AND HE SAID ULTRASOUNDS ARE NOT 100% PERCENT ACCURATE SO SHOULD I JUST ASSUME ITS A BOY OR GET A SECOND OPINION? MAYBE WAIT ANOTHER MONTH? WHAT SHOULD I DO? PLUS IM SHAPED THE SAME WAY I WAS WITH MY SON, IS IT TRUE IF YOUR ROUND ITS A BOY AND IF YOUR MORE WIDE ITS A GIRL IM JUST BELLY NO HIPS OR ANYTHING. BUT IF IT IS A BOY IM HAPPY BUT REALLY WANT A GIRL.

We'll be moving to Houston in a couple of weeks, and we're not going to have television, or the Internet, at least for a month. No television, because that's my choice. What do I do to occupy the time? I will have a just turned three month old on my hands. My husband is not going to be around due to his job, which will take up 80 hours a week. At least. And before you say 'curl up into a ball and die', don't. I've already thought of that. It's not possible. I know I'm going to get some smart as* answers, so bring 'em on.

I know that she's only my cousin, but were really close, were like sisters. There was even a period of time that her and her family lived with us. my guy friends have to live on the streets for 1 week next month because their father believes they should learn to appreciate what they have in life. although i understand what he is trying to say, i dont think two 17 year olds should be homeless for a week to learn that lesson. what do you think about it? they said their father will make them do that since he did that when he was younger (for a month).

i was thinking maybe i should have a friend let them sleep over or something. what do you think of this idea? anything u think i should do?

I had sex a month or so ago, and I had sex three different times. I then went on the pill. I hadn't had my first period yet (On the pill, that is).

Today I started my first pill-period, and I had some unusual discharge. I know that bits of uteran wall is normal, but I had a massive chunk of flesh. Was it about the size of a large silver dollar. The outside of it was a soft pinky color with blue vein-like lines in it, and the other side was dark and red. I wasn't bleeding very heavily until I "passed" this, and I passed an almost black-looking blood, and now my period is normal.

Has anyone had this sort of problem before? It was almost sac-shaped.... I also had extremely bad cramps (Tear inducing) right before this happened, and afterwards, they went away immediately, and haven't had a cramp since, and am bleeding normally.


Could it have been a miscarriage for an unknown pregnancy?

As a mother of a 6 month old and a 4 year old, I have lived to see many mistakes other parents have made with their children. I see my own parents and I worry. What are some things that I can do to be sure I do the very raising my children? I have had my kid longer than a pal of mine, she just had her baby and she already acts like super mom. If I give her advice she already knows better advice, if I buy my kid new clothes she tells me she would never buy new clothes and thinks its stupid, I just cant win.
