I have had my kid longer than a pal of mine, she just had her baby and she already acts like super mom. If I give her advice she already knows better advice, if I buy my kid new clothes she tells me she would never buy new clothes and thinks its stupid, I just cant win.

Its wierd I mean my house is much bigger than hers and she says things like well I dont want to be in debt...a mortgage is a mortgage no matter what and we arent broke.
She always has to make me feel stupid because I spend money on my kid and like to buy things new...so annoying, I never tell her that used things might be crap!

Do not try to win!
Every Mom thinks she is the best Mom there is, and every child is different.
As long as its not anything harmful to your child do it. Let her you know you value her opinion, but you like your way better.

i had a friend like that and she never even took care of kids till she had one unlike me who was changing diapers at the age of 7(im 25 and shes 24) she made me feel the same way you do until i remembered that i had been at it longer than she had so my point of view changed and i realized she was the one making herself look dumb. but i dont know why mothers are like that. but hey if your kid is loved and well taken care of then your doing a great job in my book. The way i see it is its your kid your responsability and you should just tell her polietly that until she is the one taking care of your child and footing all the bills then she should leave her opinions to herself unless asked.

Some people just have to be superior. Don't even try to compete. If it really bothers you and she is a good friend, I'd try talking to her about it. She may not realize the snobby attitude she's displaying.

Sounds to me like she is jelouse of you. i would just never mind what she says and go on with your life. You know what you know and i don't think she deserves to hear what you have to say... save your advice for someone who will care that you are tring to help.
