Nancy Pelosi is siding with the EEOC on this. Is she an American?

Oh, and the Salvation Army Thrift Store has a sign stating learning English within a year. So, why can't they decide what THEY want to do? People who only can speak another language impedes on MY opportunities here in the USA also.

What are they after? To make is so no one can understand each other any longer?

Why do liberals or people in general have such a strong dislike for him? It seems to me that maybe, just maybe, Rush is right. And apparently for some, that's just too much rightness to handle.

"If progressive taxes soak the rich, and regressive taxes soak the poor, why do we almost never hear the term, "soak the poor"? Perhaps that is a "loaded" question?

Let's imagine two frugal traveling salesmen. They each have to buy a new car every four years to (say) keep up appearances, and they need reliable transportation.
(One guy makes 20K, the other 300K)
Run the numbers on a the RATE of total income each pays on on 5% sales tax.

Poor Boy buys a $20,000 car pays $1000 or 5.0% of his income.
Rich Boy buys a $60,000 car pays $3000 or 1.0% of his income.

Poor Boy has 5 times the tax bite, or rate of tax on a car. Rich Boy hardly feels sales taxes.

Then run the numbers on a $30 pair of Levis, and the tax rate discrepancy triples.
Sales tax is NOT a flat tax. ""

Is it just me, or am I the only one who thinks the fair tax is an excellent way to not only lift the tax burden off the middle class' back, but also to restore honesty to the political system. Politicians give tax breaks to businesses in return for political contributions...eliminate that... and we finally have a system that is honest. Just as well, I would only be taxed on what I buy or use, Id even get to keep more of my own money! There are also many more benefits to it, like ELIMINATING THE IRS FOR GOOD!!! (which is far more harmful to America and the American people than GW Bush, Cheney, and all the LIBERALS in government put together!!)
Anyone else think this is a good idea?
If not... what is your objection to it?

I don't quite understand the use of the word "embarrassed" , but that's what Alan Colmes and Harold Ford Jr (both democrats) are saying (as well as of course the republicans), but are the liberals on here going to Defend CNN? I dont care they let a liberal ask a question to the republicans, why not? but it does make you wonder right?? did i miss the republican questions at the Democratic youtube debate? (i saw another question regarding this and some people answered sarcastically, like big deal... well i agree, but it has go to BOTH WAYS... typical liberal answer, they can do it, but conservatives can't...)

Evidently alot of Republicans at the debate last night were clapping for this idea...

But I think the candidates who shook their head no were not exactly booed off the stage either...

Is this philosophy one that is on the extreme end of right-wing politics?

You're constantly being lied to by the media and our governments, But everyone takes it as truth. Let me dispel a few myths here. If I don't answer right away, be sure I will when I log back on.

Lee Harvey Oswald did not shoot JFK
Reasons for wars since Vietnam have been lies
911 was an inside job
peak oil is a hoax
man made global warming is a hoax
war on terror is a hoax

need I go on??

I would hate to spread misinformation, so if anyone can prove me wrong. Please do so.

I prefer that you not just say "none of them".

I really want to know if there is a candidate that you think is both "most winnable" and "truly frightening"?

A couple of the candidates are doing well by "uniting the hatred" that some Republicans have toward certain groups.

A couple of others are doing well by "flip-flopping" in order to seem moderate.

And a couple of them really are moderates but have just one or two REALLY bad ideas.

What do you, as a democrat, make of this mess?
