I don't know what you'd call liberals, but you can call ol' George a hypocrit....he fought for human rights and dignity? yeah right, just his own, and those like him. He didn't fight so this could be a free America...he fought, so that he didn't have to pay the high taxes to the mother country....we certainly couldn't do the same here, if we decided taxation was unfair.
And liberals of that time weren't much better. Now they're pretty cool, and conservatives can bite me.

Leftist, left-wing, socialist or even progressive (though most liberals are not like Teddy Roosevelt, either) could work.
If you're not trying to be polite, you could try communist, traitor, seditious america-hater, or even 'Democrat' (though that last is particularly mean, since a lot of Democratic leaders really aren't all that liberal).
Or, you could go all 'retro,' and call them commies or pinkos. The whole red state/blue state thing has really ruined 'red' as a label for those on the extreme left, though.

you have to understand that owning a slave was a cultural norm during those times and GW DID free his slaves on his death bed. Liberalism and george washington don't relate to each other at all.
