I always wonder who "the designer" might be...

Trojan horse creationism.

But it is fun to tell evangelicals that martians are probably the intelligent designers and watch their faces turns scarlet.

From the looks of the article, this woman is no extremist...It doesn't really say she is a scientist or even what her major duties or what her major was in college...but how can a government agency force an employee to have no outside interests and tell her she cannot discuss any upcoming seminar to outsiders in writing....that is my first concern.

2nd, it looks like the members of the Agency are the real extremists by deciding that because Comer is against creationism then she is biased.....Any thoughts of Creationism or Intelligent Design involve a religious tenet...I think her rights were violated because her religious (or non-religious) beliefs were the cause of her forced resignation...Situations like this are why we need to attack Intelligent Design for what it is....Religion masquerading as science.

To "Robert G"...they can tell you what you want to know...it's all there....just because you yourself have not bothered to research this science doesn't mean it isn't there...ignorant people with religious leaning always seem to know more than scientists who spend their lives researching and studying.

Indeed it is disgusting. ID (intelligent design) is simply creationism. Except its so-called "Christian" proponents feel its okay to lie and claim its science in order to get their ideology into our shcools to indoctrinate chilren.

So much for their "moral values."

I just don't understand why the public education field -- from elementary schools to universities, and all their respective boards -- is so extreme and so rigid in its enforcement of "acceptable thought". It's quite frightening.

what I want to know is something no scientist can tell me. Exactly when did chemicals bond together and walk out of the sea. I mean with the accuracy of carbon dating and ice core samples (something they believe more then anything) they should be able to figure it out right?
