Rudy needs to step aside but if you are Rudy Giuliani and you look at what he is up against in the GOP and the cons/sheep that support him blindly you realize that you have a shot the the GOP nomination for the presidency... and then he thinks that he might run against Hillary and could win the presidency (Really scary thought!)... What he does not realize is the Dems will most likely nominate Obama, Edwards or Kucinich long before Hillary Clinton (4th at best) for president... The Dems should win in a landside but lets let Rudy have his wet dream.

It's possible....but how does this make him *ANY* different from any other American politician?

Every politician who *tries* to address Big Picture issues ends up getting spanked on campaign financing or they get reamed in the Media over small, nit-picky things that happened in Third Freakin' Grade. And I'm not mentioning names because it happens *all over*, this isn't a defect of any *specific person*. Republicans do it, Democrats do it, hell, Independents and Third Party people do it too.

It's the system. It's too fundamentally corrupt. It was created in a time, by the Founding Fathers, where there *wasn't* any Mass Media, by and large, and so it doesn't anticipate just how much that Media *demands* Company money to function....which in turn sabotages the process for all fairly well. Senator McCain had *this one* right when he originally ran on Campaign Finance Reform. Full disclosure: And I really *don't* agree with one other thing the guy says, though I do *respect immensely* the fact that he has some integrity within him, and where that comes from, and the price he paid for it.

But I digress. Point is, the political process *panders to* limited thinkers, to That Jedi Mind Trick (the sound-bite). It panders to people who *only* think about *money*. You can see this in the ways both Romney and Ron Paul had to tailor their messages--dumb them down--for debates and the press. You can also see this in the way Senators Obama and H.R. Clinton endlessly snipe at each other over "who's middle class" and "who's experienced" when in truth, much of their appeal comes from seeming to *Not* be total insiders, and from seeming to be "ordinary" when at face value it's clear they're not.

It speaks to the kind of fundamental cluelessness that plagued Marie Antoinette right before she lost her head to a guillotine. You know....the upper-class wench who said of the poor who were starving in the gutter for want of bread: "Let them eat *cake*."

And our system *demands* that kind of "limited thinking" and "fundamental cluelessness" of everyone....by design.

Just saying....

Well, I am feeling a bit below the belt tonight. So...
NO! I get the feeling YOU are a limited thinker who can not handle the big picture outside of your own mind.

Please go to some web forum where you can 'discuss' these 'issues' amongst your peers. Here's one:

Thank you for allowing me a childish moment.

Running NYC is more difficult than running many countries. Experience like that is not a bad thing as fools might try to portray.

You dont run the City of New York without being an "out of the box" thinker.. I disagree with your assumption.

He has principles and he stands on them firmly.

Rudy only went to the WTC on 911 to try and grab center stage!
Why is the IAFF against his possible nomination?

Nice try. You aren't going to be able to play "The Republican is stupid" card you Dems always do with Rudy.
