I believe this is the perfectreason for the fair tax, it will be taxed on what we spend not what we make it is good for the economy because it will give us more to spend and it gives the government a stedy source of income and will help pay for a lot of different things in the nation

Since Bush didn't want his cronies to pay taxes on their war profiteering profits and oil gouging profits, he borrowed money from the Chinese to pay for his ill conceived, illegal, immoral war, the dues are about to come due. Of course his successor will likely take the blame for the total crash our economy will be in by then (it has already started). Guess we should just count our blessings that he can't steal another election. Not to mention the $8 million in oil missing PER DAY in Iraq. Praise be to God it is almost over. God willing we can find someone to repair the damage Bush has wrought on our country, the world and our world reputation.

Yes anytime a republican runs they promise tax cuts and when they get into office they make tax cuts that are bad for the country. The tax cuts never really help the economy, they reduce public sector jobs due to lack of funding, unemployment goes up with the deficit. Naturally taxes will go up to balance the budget after a republican has been in office. Republicans have a problem with fiscal responsibility. The voters never do the math and think because they may save a few hundred dollars on taxes that jobs will be created when they are actually lost. The tax savings are ate up by unemployment insurance going up for business. Republican voters tend to show a lack of education when going into the voting booth.
