Through history Islam has done this in the Middle East, India, the Far East, North Africa, Spain and many many other part of the world.

British MPs have urged the government to take up the plight of Hindus in Malaysia with the Malaysian government (Islamic) and prevail upon Kuala Lumpur not to demolish temples.

In an Early Day Motion moved by Stephen Pound, Chairman of the Labour Friends of India and supported by 19 other MPs, including NRI Labour party leader Keith Vaz, they urged the British government to take up the matter with the Malaysian government in the strongest possible manner. "This house notes with grave concern the stated intention of the government of Malaysia to demolish 79 Hindu temples," the one-paragraph Motion said.

or do you believe most of the time insiders with far more knowledge of what is best for our country actually know best?

I understand that nothing is 100% perfect and right all the time, but if you had a choice between all big laws being implemented by an elite few who "knew best" and had all the facts, or going on based on polls of the people, which would you lean towards?

For example, if a vote was needed to deal with the immigration crisis or whether to have policies that encourage companies to outsource their manufacturing overseas, or perhaps a vote on whether or not to grant President Bush his most recent request of Billions of dollars for the Iraq situation, etc..

Like I said, I know that the people can be wrong sometimes, just like a few elite can get it wrong too, but the question is ...if you had to choose one method of governance over the other, which do you think would be better for the country?

I was curious since Mitt Romney claimed in the You Tube debates that he reads the Bible all the time. Was he substituting the word 'Bible' for 'the Book of Mormon' to avoid bringing up his religion?

Imagine how different the outcomes might be if every citizen could hear ALL the negotiations between our politicians (locally and internationally--even amongst nation's leaders). Knowing that under the watchful eye of the camera--we would know the truth! What would happen? Why not do this? Our government puts cameras on street corners to catch citizens running red lights, crossing toll booths. Why can't we be given the same courtesy, and make sure our politicians our doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Asking questions like "do we really have a right to nuclear weapons over Iran?"

This can't be a serious question! Of course it's in our best interest to have the best and greatest military in the world. Why in the world would a person want to even the odds for our enemies?

with abortion, why should it be rare??? Additionally, if a pre-born baby is not a human life, why do so many states charge double murder against someone who takes the life of a pregnant woman and not against the mother and/or doctor who performs late term or partial birth abortions (especially)?
You cannot have it both ways.

Dr King's message is God's message- forgiveness, racial unity, healing wounds, loving one another regardless of the circumstances.

Dr King's message is being perverted by leaders who are stuffing their wallets and pouring gas on the fire of racial conflict. Isn't Dr King's message the correct path? Should it's goals be compromised by false leaders and hi-jacked causes (socialism)?

What would happen to a leader who denounced the false leaders? Can you envision which party would be supporting the false leader?

On a local level, there are countless wonderful, hard working decent people giving their lives, talent and sweat to help others- shouldn't these people be represented by civil rights leaders who are not corrupt, in-bed with socialists and hypocrites?
