Does a goofy grin come over your face when you hear the words, "Minister for Climate Change, Penny Wong"?
Do you giggle a little when you hear "Opposition Leader Brendan Nelson"?
Did you cheer aloud when Prime Minister Rudd ratified the Kyoto Protocol?
Does it feel merely like a matter of time before a Democrat President replaces George Dubya?
Does it all feel like a beautiful dream, now that we no longer have to fight every inch of the way just to get the existence of our most urgent problems recognised?
Now that the progressive members of the Australian Liberal Party are at last coming out of the closet?

Yes those stars will be in my eyes for along long time.
Finally we get a government that has common sense and doesnt have their head in the sand about climate change and also we have a government that are listening.
Well Its definately good to here that Penny Wong is our Minister for climate change and it also shows that we have a multicultural society.
11yrs this has taken for Australia to realise that we needed to get the rats out of the closet and it just goes to show how many big rats there really were hiding in the closet.
Thorgirl must of have some andry pills today, or either that coming down from a high. Seek help, and get your facts right also find me a true Aussie that was born here and doesnt have some other cultural back ground....
Obviously you dont know the history of Australia weren't the majority of our ancestors immigrants???

Thorgirl, Do you inject it or just sniff it, Awfully powerful stuff. They should ban it from little kids as I have just seen the results.
Now Zuchi, It has been 11 days and the smile still could not get any better, Sort of like Captain Smirky in reverse.
Have a look at the Liberals now as they are showing their true colours. Infighting, Tussles over the leadership, Malcom in his race for power, It says a great deal about their Party. The best of all is Brenden Nelson their Leader ???? He has to go back to Howard to ask him how to run the country.(If he gets in next time). I wouldn't be holding my breath Bren, You will have plenty of time to figure it all out. Mr OPPOSITION LEADER.

Hi zucchi :D
Oh yes, I'm still all like "la-la-la-la-la skipping through the daisies!"
haha
I am waiting with baited breath to see Julia Gillard perform when she brings in the tougher national curriculum (out with the silly constructivist education approach yay!) with one hand and deals with the uproar from teachers' unions with her other hand. The "education revolution" is not just about laptops - it's much bigger than that and should be very interesting indeed.
And finally... more funding for post graduate research grants and resale royalties for visual artists!
It's all very exciting.
And about bl**dy time too !!!

Well I hope so after all even Mistakes can be voted on there. So how much do you think you gained? Do you think China and the US are really going to stop just to save what some perceive as the causes? In France they are allowed to use Nuclear Power while the USA cannot due to the Liberals. Is Australia going to Go NUKE to save precious Carbon Credits? The Howard Government WAS our Democrats. Now that Australia has gone way Left and will Allow Sharia Law and Millions of Vietnamese immigrants will there be any Aussies to care in 10 years? When your economy tanks due to sky rocketing costs and Australia once again becomes a Non world Player will all your social programs save you? You can sing the praises of our Democrats But they will not get out of Iraq and will never honor Kyoto............
then Why Oh why mention GW BUSH? if it was just to the Aussies then he should not matter at all. enjoy your trip further left...............
