So they can wipe Israel off the map (a stated dream of theirs) and of course to threaten the Great Satan and to bully their neighbors into having the same oppressive government they have. It's not a secret. And there is a HUGE difference between uranium for generating power and weapon's grade uranium, which is what this is about.

Because nuclear power will solve many of Iran's infrastructure problems and allow them to develop their economy whilst freeing up oil resources for sale abroad to boost state income.
Lack of reliable electricity is a major issue holding back Iranian industry which in turn is causing the "brain drain" in Iran where valuable young educated people are leaving the country to work elsewhere. Nuclear power would be a major answer to this.
Some people say "why don't they use their oil resources?". The answer is, to quote the movie scarface, "never get high on your own supply". Oil is too valuable a asset to be wasted at home when it can be sold for so much.
Enriching Uranium for nuclear power makes perfect economic sense for Iran.

Like any other country concerned about it's energy, Iran is in need of a source to fuel it's infrastructure. They can't refine the oil they produce due to a lack of adequate refineries. What they produce and export is crude oil, not ready to pump oil. They're entitled like any other country to enriching uranium.

because they need to have something after oil.... and they could sell uranium to nuclear countries because they have a lot of uranium mines ... it's very profitable....
but maybe u prefere that iran stay a country of the third world, the population suffers and became like their neighbours

Why not? Who is the US, or any other country for that matter, to do decide who can or cannot enrich Uranium.

"enrichment" ... because they want cheap nuclear energy and want to build a nuke bomb to hold Israel, USA and the west nuclear hostage like North Korea did.
Those kooks would actually use the bomb and trust in Allah with the consequences.
