Imagine how different the outcomes might be if every citizen could hear ALL the negotiations between our politicians (locally and internationally--even amongst nation's leaders). Knowing that under the watchful eye of the camera--we would know the truth! What would happen? Why not do this? Our government puts cameras on street corners to catch citizens running red lights, crossing toll booths. Why can't we be given the same courtesy, and make sure our politicians our doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Are you kidding! Ha ha! Nothing would change. Low viewer rating would cause a cancellation. 99% of the worlds' population would NOT watch yet still find the time to complain! Not only that, some ppl would watch for the sole reason to point out what is offensive to them!

The reality is we don't need 24 hour broadcast of the political system because things will still get distorted.

Do you really think those in charge in Iran care if Americans hear the president call for the distruction of U.S. and Israel? Oh wait we already know this...What are we going to do about that? Some ppl se this as a real threat some ppl take this as just 'talk' (yeah OK).
Nothng will change.

Nothing would ever get done. The sad reality is that 75% of the people in this country and around the world are sheep. They have no idea what's going on in the world, they are just following the person who looks like their leader, even if that person is a retard.

Every American had ample importunity to see how stupid George Bush was, and yet he still managed to win the second time around. All the cameras would do is force our politicians to lie 24/7 instead of 12/7.

Most of congress would be speechless. As it is, they shuffle about like lost souls and whisper for advice from their modern-day Buddha, "Chappaquidick Ted" on C-Span.

Because then people wouldn't feel free to be blunt and speak their minds. Sometimes negotiations are messy.

Besides, who would really sit there and watch them? How many of you watch CSPAN and CSPAN2 religiously?

Then there wouldn't be any serious political negotiations.

Diplomacy isn't reality TV.
