Why do liberals or people in general have such a strong dislike for him? It seems to me that maybe, just maybe, Rush is right. And apparently for some, that's just too much rightness to handle.

a lot of people struggle with drugs and body image issues, and that's really personal. his opinions are what we are talking about here.

every time I used to listen to him... I thought he brought up interesting points... so I would look up the stories that he was referring to on air...
and more times than not... there was another side to the issue, and often the other side made more sense than he did once I looked it up for myself and heard both of them...
so I guess the people that agree are those that don't bother to look at what he's talking about...
it's easy to be right when you ignore the facts that don't agree with what you're saying...

Rush is right. Though I listened today and he was against illegal aliens whom have grown up here since kindergarten whom were in competition with American kids for scholarships.....His argument was that this just attracts more illegals to come here and have babies and he is right (almost). This the land of opportunity. We set the standard.
I feel these children have obviously assimilated into our American society to no fault of their own and should be eligible for a scholarship if there grades are good enough and they have assimilated. It isn't there fault. They will become Americans and pay taxes.
If we would seal the border this would be a "non" issue.
Though he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his educating the mainstream middle class as to how and why politicians vote the way they do. He explains why they speak ill or good about certain other politicians. He has created and defines words such as "political posturing","political manuvering", and "Drive By Media."

If "maybe, just maybe" he is correct, then "maybe, just maybe" he could be WRONG too?
His OPINION is that drug addicts are weak and should be locked up, all the while being stoned on illegally obtained Oxycontin. If YOU want to rationalize a drug addict's hypocracy, that's up to you, but that does NOT make Rush someone you can trust to tell you the truth. He has ZERO CREDIBILITY.
Do you also defend the the sex tour of Thailand he took with a suitcase full of Viagra (ALSO illegally obtained)? Are you aware the average age of a "sex worker" in Thailand is ELEVEN YEARS OF AGE? Should We ALL start having sex with eleven year old boys, cuz Rush does (since he "may be" correct and all)?

Rush is right most of the time. The people that hate him most have never taken the time to listen to what he has to say, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, the liberal part of our culture bases their opinions more on talking points of the left than listening to those that are the voices of reason. Rush is one of those voices. Anyway, that's my opinion.

actually, when he first started doing talk, his show was pretty funny. then he began to take himself seriously. and as we all know, there is a large segment of the American public that is easily taken in by bravado and attitude.

Who agrees that Rush is right about everything?
Idiots.
Incidentally, one of Rush's stated "opinions" (and remember, YOU'RE the one saying his opinions are always right) is that drug abusers should be locked up for life, no second chances. Funny how that doesn't apply to HIS OWN drug problem.

Right in his choice of careers.
Do you know that he got his start as a rock n roll DJ in Sacramento? And I understand he was downright mediocre.
But then he got into talk radio, about the same time Bill Clinton got into national office, and a relationship created in Ratings Heaven was born.
Oh, and by the way, his show is entertainment. He believes in that stuff about as much as I believe you are an educated radio critic.

He is right about 90% of the time or more. The libs are just mad that they have no way to argue against his copious facts. BTW he lost all that weight years ago libs, grow up and get informed.
