It has been asked "HOW many times will you get betrayed by both parties before you wake up to the fact they are one in the same?"

What say you?

I believe that we should help Americans before we help people in other countries. I believe that people's lives should not be ruined because they get in a car accident and are paralyzed. I believe that growing old should not mean that you have to choose between eating and getting your medication. I believe that all Americans should be given a "helping hand" when they need it to get back on their feet. I believe in the United States of America and the fact that all of us, as Americans have the responsibliity to help one another. I believe that the people who throw this word around like it is something bad are actually just selfish ******* who care about nobody but themselves and the almighty dollar. If this makes me a socialist, then so be it. I will wear the badge of socialism with honor, as it takes a stronger person to care about others than it does to care about themselves. God Bless America, even the Republicans.

I am attempting to sound as unsexist as possible but i tihnk alot of our country fails to realize how sexist the world actually is. While personally i would never vote for since i really dont want two families to control the presedency for 20 years i also wonder how the world will look at a female leader of the one remaining super power. Essencially the entire middle east is society where the man makes the rules and the woman is a second class citizen. Since we are already having so many issues with that part of the world it just seems that sending a female who many people would consider second class to talk with them, seems like it will just be fanning the flames of a region thats already unstable. Any comments for or against?

Just curious. I am pulling for HIllary, but I have a sinking feeling Giullaini (sp?) is going to win. It always seems to come down to the "household names".

You've all heard of the young man who put his life on the line to rescue 52 kids off of a school bus that was just yards away from falling into the Mississippi.

He has been overwhelmed with fame and good fortune which I think he deserves(he was offered a full scholarship to a college in California), but he is a quiet guy who just doesn't like a lot of attention.

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
Mr. Hernandez was not available to comment on the offer; Ms. Schwartz said he left town for northern Minnesota late on Friday, overwhelmed by the attention and concerned that his co-workers were being overlooked. He spent the weekend fishing. When President Bush’s staff contacted him to request a photo opportunity, “He was just, like, ‘Nope,’ ” she said.

Why does George bush stumble during his speech's?
Is someone feeding him his lines or is he too scared he will say the wrong thing and let the cat out of the bag?

It has nothing to do with attacking sovereign nations, because Bush has already done that very thing. And as far as going into that area in Pakistan that even Pakistani military wont go is BS because we could have gotten Bin Laden with a sniper and special forces.

"Islam is a religion of peace"-George W. Bush

"Islam is a load of ancient monotheistic crap meant to control people"-most liberals, including ME.

What's the disconnection here?

The valuable resources that Bush is wasting that I am talking about is our men and women.

I think everyone realizes that Iraq has nothing to do with liberation...because it is obvious that Saddam needed to control like he did so Iraqis would be controlled and not kill each other like they are now. It also has nothing to do with our freedoms either because there were no Al qaida there BEFORE we went in.

Apparently, penmanship practice for schoolchildren at the Newlands Primary School includes pledging allegiance to the Muslim god:

August 06, 2007

ANGRY parents have blasted a teacher for telling ten-year-olds to copy a Muslim prayer saying “There is no God but Allah”.

Helen Green is said to have picked the Muslim call to prayer as HAND-WRITING practice.

It includes the lines “Allah is the greatest” and “I bear witness that there is no God but Allah”.

Pupil Billy Darbyshire’s stepmum Hayley Clayton said: “The explanation was that the children were learning about Islam in RE.

“But this was like he was taking an oath. A Muslim child would never be asked to write a Bible passage.

“Why didn’t she choose a passage from a normal story book to teach handwriting?”

Imagine Muslim students being asked to copy Bible passages. The erosion of Western civilization by leftwing moonbats infesting Education could not be more obvious

They stuck pork-barrel spending for peanuts and spinach on a bill meant to fund American troops in harm’s way.

They created slush funds for secret earmarks, attempting to spend billions of taxpayer dollars without transparency.

They jammed “green pork” accounts into the energy tax bill, allowing taxpayer funds to be used to subsidize things like Lexus Hybrids in Beverly Hills and putting copies of Al Gore’s book in children’s classrooms.

I thought they said they were going to 'clean' all this up, if you would just elect them.

With politics being so much in the news these days, it got me to thinking about a bit of history that I remember, and how wonderful our country is that we are equal in the voting booth, as it should be.
If you remember the poll tax, find some young person and explain it to them! If you don't know what the poll tax was, find a "seasoned" individual and ask them questions. You'll be amazed at the history you will learn! Plus, you'll learn why the Poll Tax doesn't exist anymore (which is a good thing).

Without so much as a hearing, Democratic leaders rammed a bill through the House that cuts seniors’ Medicare benefits and raises taxes to expand government-run health care that illegal immigrants can receive. They silenced Republicans who rose to object to the process by which this irresponsible legislation was brought to the floor. Then they overturned the 215-213 vote.

Prime Minister Olmert of Israel has a 3% approval rating (and that's being generous with a +/- rating of 3%) and is under investigation for several jail worthy criminal activities and refusing to step down from power. Bush hovers around a 30% approval rating on any given day. 1 out of 3 people approving of the job of the leader is bad, but much better than 3 out of 100. What should a democracy do when its government refuses to represent the views of the people and engages in criminal behavior usually at the expense of its own people and against its own people?

According to most of the conservatives on here, George Bush has been a wonderful president, but has been the victim of a worldwide conspiracy to undermine his presidency. So just so I have this right:

pro-Bush..truth
anti-Bush...lies and part of the worldwide conspiracy
