Why did the democrats abuse the rules of the house to give illegal immigrants your money?

Without so much as a hearing, Democratic leaders rammed a bill through the House that cuts seniors’ Medicare benefits and raises taxes to expand government-run health care that illegal immigrants can receive. They silenced Republicans who rose to object to the process by which this irresponsible legislation was brought to the floor. Then they overturned the 215-213 vote.

I read the other answers first for a change, the usual mutterings of sheep from the Dem supporters, you could just go read Kos and save yourself from hearing it regurgitated here.

It has been over 200 years since a vote that the majority was going to lose was closed "prior" to completion. The major difference here was, the vote was complete and the motion to not give illegals welfare passed. At that point the gavel was thrown and the vote closed before being passed.

It is and was a travesty to our republic, the democrats took away our voice in this process. They did it because they cannot pull together one single vote and they are embarrassed that they are ineffective and accomplishing nothing.

For them to hold an investigation of themselves is absurd, why don't we just ask the fox to guard the hen house instead.

The insanity of this democratic congress is beyond comprehension and it is an assault on we the peoples right to representation.

This travesty may just end up being the shot heard around the world, the day the democrats tried to steal our country.

First the number has jumped to 30 million vs the 10-12 million during the campaign time. this number was from a "latest" repot. I don't understand either as by law they can go to the Er and get help. I know when in Lewisville Texas or one of the Dallas hospiitals that there were a ton of them and the nurse told me many come in for a cough or stomach ache. I don't really blame them, but the people htat hire them and get a good deal and leave them to whatever they can come up with, which in this case is the norm the ER. I actually had one lady run into my car and she had no id or insurance as it was someone elses car, but it was verified that she worked at the local eye glasses making place. So that guy had to be paying her $10 an hour and then didn't pay anything else a good deal for him and her. Bottom line is that 12 million don't want insurance, whether 1,000 or a million the undocumented get it free, then the poor have Medicare or caid to fall back on. You do have sme that cannot afford insurance and would like to have it, but they sure need to study that. As the President said the two Ms are bankrupting the country and he thinks that making it bigger will stop that? They also want the vote, Clinton had more than doubled legal immigration andwas surprised that Bush won. They might also think that as these people, who are hard workers move up the ladder they turn conservative and most all ready are, so it wll be interesting if they allow the "prepaid, untracalbe" credit card again. Common sese tells you that 75% plus of households with a computer also have a credit card and why buy one. So they want the vote and also to help out the lobbyists for the hospitals and insurance companies.

It isn't over yet. The computer system wasn't working correctly during the vote and they didn't realize that. It wasn't working the next day either. If you read some articles about it, you'll have that confirmed. The acting speaker thought the vote was over. A nasty free-for-all followed and 100 Republicans walked out. It was amendments to the agricultural bill to give illegals food stamps.

Because Democrats are Socialist, and want Americans to change from free, to control me.
They have a sense of power now that there are enough of them elected to control the House and Senate, to get their agendas passed without Republicans fighting against them, since Republicans are the minority in both houses now. Not by much, but it is so all the same. Using the war in Iraq, and the same tactics used in the Vietnam era, is their way to try and push through what they want, and not necessarily what American citizens want. Already 98% of Americans do NOT want illegal aliens to be granted amnesty, or welfare by us, but the Democrats aren't listening to us. Again, they want us controlled, not free to choose for ourselves. They want Universal Health-Care, against most of Americans desires, and Nancy Pelosi slamming her gaval, and calling an end to an already voted on bill, saying no to illegals receiving some kinds of welfare, and she making the decision to allow it to pass anyway, is proof enough to me, that this woman, and the Democrats, want power, and control of us, we the People. Wake the blank up Libs, and see your blank MISTAKE in electing these power-mongerers.

Democrats are in disarray. They screwed up this vote, then took it back, re-voted it until it went their way. There is going to be an investigation.

I don't know, I feel so upset about it and seriously recent it happened. I need health help and get it, but they can. I haven't ben able to buy groceries in over a moth and they won't help me. But let them go in and they will walk out with all the help. Take care of our own first.
