Most people adopt the political views of their family when they are children and many never really question them. I changed mine as an adult but because of my background I can usually understand the arguments being made by the other side but from some of the comments made here I wonder if people have really thought about the issues.

Is their age difference or sex life pertinent to their qualifications to govern...or anybody's business? Is the number of marriages and divorces a window into their character or morals? What about their religious preference? Or, should we be just talking issues?.......(Too many questions, I know, but I'm trying to hear both sides in a condensed way.)

If they don't like us i guess that means they don't like our money. I realize there are still some reasonable people in these countries and i bet we could find ways to help them. We also pour money in countries who continually screw up through corrupt governments. Half the UN hates us why do we have to listen to them. There are countries who don't hate us they may disagree at times but don't hate us i say those are the countries we should help we owe them that.

NOT a 9/11 "Truther"?

Reason: The position of the Student Scholars is that 9/11 was executed by the U.S. government. Do you agree or disagree with that?

Paul: I'd say there's no evidence of that............

Well, I think the more we know about what we went on is good. But I don't think there's any evidence of [an inside job] and I don't believe that.

What we Americans need to understand is that some people only act civil out of fear of punishment. This was the case of the Iraqis from 1979 to 2003 (Saddam). Look how well behaved they were then. What we need to do is give Iraq a strong leader to force the Iraqis to act civil. Under this new govn't; stealing, rape, murder, or threats against the new govn't shall result in public beheadings or severe lashings. It is cruel, but it is the only language these people understand. Put these policies in effect and lets see how long the insurgents last when they see their comrads get decapitated in public.

I keep racking my brain on why people think Bush should be treated as if he is war criminal? I don't like him...but he is not "offing" people like Hitler. How about the nations in Africa killing their own people by the hundreds of thousands and we sit and do nothing. Well, we did try in the 1990 in Somalia...but, that didn't work. And the UN doesn't care either.

Water supplies to Baghdad have also been cut off for days at a time, with summertime pressures on key systems said to be more intense than ever.

The ministry blamed poor maintenance, fuel shortages, sabotage by insurgents and rising demand for the problems, and said some provinces hold onto supplies.

The US Army told the BBC that Iraq must now take charge of fixing the problems.

The general in charge of helping Iraq rebuild its infrastructure, Michael Walsh, said that although Iraqi authorities only have one-quarter of the money needed for reconstruction, solving the problem was now up to them.
