I think the United States is a little more stable a country and situation that would allow for the congress to take off . As I recall they were not working on a september deadline of developing a working Constitution. And when they were they worked through the summer and I don't think they even had air conditioning

I've thought of that too. It'd be a good idea! But they're better than that.

I also thought it was rather humorous that OUR congress took the summer off. After their less than stellar first six months, you'd think they'd be shamed into maybe staying and getting something done. But no. I guess the gin and tonics were calling.

No I would have to say that just because they are taking time off does not mean everyone should get time off. Now the fact that half of them are boycotting all the time, well I say our soldiers protecting their butts in the green zone take up the call and boycott as well.

Heck Congress is taking a month off why don't they stop the hearing on Bush and figure out how to stop Muslim terrorism.

Apparently, learning how to run their own country isn't as important as a vacation. Our troops are dying every day and they're taking a vacation? I'm with you on this one.

Yes, they should. Actually, they should just come home and take all the time off they want.
