There is a difference between having a TOTAL socialist state run economy and an open market with some social services provided for all citizens.

Hasn't failed. Go visit Europe for a bit.

if you're talking about the soviet kind, that's FASCISM combined socialism. Fascism failed. It's about time the bush cronies realized that. Socialism, as an economic system, hasn't failed, or in any way shown itself to be detrimental to a country. Many of the european countries are doing quite well with it.

Have you EVER taken an economics or a histroy clourse?

To anyone that says that Liberals do not support a socialist society what would they call the Medical Platform that the Clinton's held so dearly. Free medical care doesn't work. It goes with the old adage you get what you pay for. Just ask any American Vet that has suffered at the hands of a military or VA Hospital.

If you want an intelligent response you must support your assumption that liberals advocate socialism.

Then define what you mean by socialism. Do you mean the socialism currently seen in Europe or do you really mean a Soviet style communism. If you mean the current European style socialism, you must demonstrate how these economies of Europe has disasterously failed.

Your question is vague and full of unsupported assumptions.

did you use every big word you know in that sentence?

Not all liberals promote socialism. Some people only like some of the characteristics of a socialist government.

Show us all how it has failed in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, the Czech republic, France, and the rest of Western Europe. Please, go ahead and try. Give it your best shot.
And, please show us where the Dems in this country are socialists. Go ahead. I'll be waiting.

We aren't socialists to begin with. I'm not your "good" anything. And your superiority complex is beginning to bug me. Is this nonsenscial enough for you. Our economy is tanking. You need or want to believe differently it's your right.

I'm not a liberal, but I do question blanket statements which have absolutely no proof as back up.

Do you want to include some information to back up your assertion?
