If they don't like us i guess that means they don't like our money. I realize there are still some reasonable people in these countries and i bet we could find ways to help them. We also pour money in countries who continually screw up through corrupt governments. Half the UN hates us why do we have to listen to them. There are countries who don't hate us they may disagree at times but don't hate us i say those are the countries we should help we owe them that.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. ( this works for half the nations out there)

Keep your friends close and your enemy's closer ( the other half of the nations in the world)

I can sit here and type why we do it and the reasons behind it, but I believe those two sentences on top should cover about 90 percent of the reasons why we do crazy things like throwing away money and weapons at dirt poor nations.

I'm afraid its Americas turn to go through what the British did during and after the empire.
Its summed up nicely by Rudyard Kipling,

"You shall have the blame of those ye best, and the hate of those ye guard"

Why is Bush selling $30billion worth of military hardware to the nation that is the main financial supporter of Al-Qaida and the main supporter of the Sunni insurgency in Iraq? The king of that very nation recently called our presence in Iraq: "An illegal occupation". That nation is Saudi Arabia.
Why in the hell would we give any military assistance to a muslim nation that is the root cause for the war on terrorism?
Why, why, why? What the heck is going on?

Aid is granted even when the people or country are hating the source. Love your enemies and it is part of foreign policy to get their sympathy.

I'm unsure of your definition of hates us.

We provide aid because it is in our national interest to do so. Extreme poverty, disease, etc leads to extreme nationalism which can lead to war and terror that directly affects the US.

It is not aid it is bribes. The more they hate us the more it cost to get what we want from them.
