All the polls i see have hilary leading the democratic primary's but everyone i talk to including me, hates her. I see obama and edwards as much better canidates, just for the fact that there isn't a real hate factor their for a lot of americans.

Polls are totally inaccurate, I dont put one shred of credibility to any poll regardless of who it makes look good.

I am mystified by it, too...she is polarizing. Sadly for the dems, they are going to (again) believe the polls, name her as their candidate and then wonder what the heck went wrong when the independent voters choose another republican candidate to be president. And then we can all enjoy another 4 years of distain from the left about our political system (yay--sarcasm).

Knowing there are some very intelligent people on the other side of the fence, I am surprised that the dems have not been able to find some less controversial candidates. I for one would love to see someone like Joe Biden go up because I think he has a fighting chance at unifying a very fractured electorate.

I guess it'll be Guliani for me, then.

They are probably just polling the people of NYC. Anyway, I am not a liberal but I respect your question. Sometimes I believe that polls are falsified by the press to keep people from going to the polls. I mean face it if you think your candidate doesn't have a chance in a million of winning a primary why bother. What ever you believe excercise your right to vote and vote your heart not the polls. God Bless America.

The latest poll I have seen, (last Thursday), shows Hillary at 43 %.!!! 100 % minus 43% used to equel 57% against !!!!
Why don't you look at the 1988 Presidential results??? My numers may be off 2-3 %, but seems this ol' codger remembers Billy Boy winning with only 43 %, 43%!!!!!

Because people view Obama as inexperienced and Edwards is still associated with Kerry--he'll never win.

I get the same thing. I hate Hillary too. A lot of Americans(especially democratic women) don't see what our fate would be if she won the election. They don't know what she will do. Most people have support in Hillary because she is a woman and they want a woman president.

Yes, Hillary is widely despised. But most of the Dems view her as the least of the 3 evils.

National polls of "average" (aka doesn't know anything about politics) Americans.

The numbers would be different among "educated" voters.

one of her special interest groups backing her is the same conglomerate company that does the "creative polling " - polling should be outlawed because people dont vote for who they think is best they vote for people who they think are closer to winning -if their candidate is not high in the polling ranks -I think that if more people voted for who they thought was best the outcomes in presidential elections and primaries might be different

I'm amazed also. I've yet to meet anyone who says they'll vote for her. A few people (retired military), claim that they'll leave the country. That surprises me and frankly I wouldn't go that far.
