The violence erupting on the Gaza Strip is astounding. Hamas, a political faction struggling to retain supremacy, has beseiged Fatah's stronghold in Gaza Strip and killed many of its officials and armed militants. In retaliation the Fatahs have killed 3 Hamas legislatures, several Hamas activists and suspected individuals.

How will the Palestinian President Abbas form Fatah-Hamas coalition that will underscore both of parties' grievances? What is Condi even offering at this point?!

Jesus was a Jew, not a Christian. And if the Jews really thought he was the messiah, it would STILL have been Judaism (as the messiah was Jewish doctrine and wouldn't signal a new religion.) It was the Europeans in the Roman Empire that became Christianity.

According to the NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll released today Congress' approval rating is now 6 points below George Bush's approval rating. The President's approval is at 29% while Congress's approval is a dismal 23%

Now these numbers are not coming from Neocon pollsters. They are coming from main stream media pollsters and they show that the much ballyhooed Dem/Lib control Congress is disliked even more than the President is disliked.

Dems/Libs you can put whatever spin you want on it but you guys are no better off than Dubya. ROFLMFAO!!!! ROFLMFAOS!!!!

I read in other posts here claiming that there are more murders here in America that our soldiers stationed in Iraq-----------I read we have had roughly 5,000 soldiers killed in 5 years.........So i went online and checked-----yes it is true---we do have more murders here----------what I found even stranger is there were far more murders in 1993 that in recent years--------does anyone have any theories as to why the rate has declined? Anyone else find it strange there are more killings here than on the battlefield?

There are lots of different types of liberals. There's moderate liberals, socialist liberals, environmentalist liberals, rich liberals, poor liberals, black liberals, white liberals, etc. etc.

Any question that asks "why do liberals x?" is inherently flawed because I can guarantee you that a significant number of liberals don't x. Generalizing and stereotyping only make you and your fellow conservatives look stupid, so why do so many questions on YA begin "why do liberals...."?

They keep saying that September is sort of a deadline to see if the surge is effective in Iraq. But most people are already saying that it is not working.

Should we wait and see?

Or look to send even more troops to try and control the situation?

The way I see it, we either need to get out of Iraq or make an increased committment in every area to try to win.

What do you think?

They are saying now that Scooter Libby will have to report to prison in about eight weeks, unless he is pardoned.

Will President Bush pardon him?

I think he will. But he will wait for a moment in the next eight weeks where he can do it while there is some other big news story to overshawdow it. You often see things like this done. Decisions, firings, things like that happen either on holidays or during other big news stories to distract viewers from the situation.

So, I see Libby getting pardoned at some point.

What do you think?

I don't remember a president saying "Nyah! Ya can't make me!" as often as this one has. He should actually be looking at our elected representatives and senators as the latest litmus test of majority American voter attitude. He's fatally confused as to who "us" and "them" are here. He's still in 2000, fighting Al Gore. He needs a refresher course in reality. The overwhelming majority want him to change direction. Why can't he get this?
