There are lots of different types of liberals. There's moderate liberals, socialist liberals, environmentalist liberals, rich liberals, poor liberals, black liberals, white liberals, etc. etc.

Any question that asks "why do liberals x?" is inherently flawed because I can guarantee you that a significant number of liberals don't x. Generalizing and stereotyping only make you and your fellow conservatives look stupid, so why do so many questions on YA begin "why do liberals...."?

Do you wonder if any of those posters who submit questions like that ever read a newspaper? Or watch real news? Or listen to NPR or BBC? Or watch anything current or educational on TV?

I come on here day after day, and 80% of the questions are just bait. Just inflammatory garbage.

It would be SO GREAT if at least half of the questions were trying to find out how other people thought and felt about serious problems facing America and the WORLD. Right now.

For instance..................how many people in the audience are even aware that there is a hardcore effort in effect RIGHT NOW by just two or three humongous global entities to PRIVATIZE WATER?

Did you know that?

That there are actually a handful of people in this world who are moving heaven and earth to try to make it so that very soon, people in the poorest parts of the world will have to PAY FOR WATER?

What does everyone think about THAT?

Now THAT is a real problem.

Water is LIFE.

"liberal" is a term that right-wing media groups have reinvented to mean..."the devil". the types that follow right-wing media are the types that always have to have a witch to hunt, a devil to blame, or an evil to purge the world of.
Just like the salem witch trials, where the little girls kept pointing the finger and getting people murdered, the same type of hysteria is being promoted by right-wing extremists.
it keeps all the acolytes moving in the same direction, and under control. Keep generating enemies, and there is no worry about loss of control.
hate for a common enemy is a great tool to make sure people overlook minor violations of their own morales, in order to take the course they are told will thwart the percieved evil in order to obtain the underlying agenda.
Ironically, it is the same tool used by black muslims to acquire willing participants to carry out suicide bombings.

Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing on people who actually understood the lesson taught by their savior, only the ones who use it as a tool of hatred.

Good question. I could come up with a few "not so nice" stereotypes about conservatives, but I don't like to label people. Some of my best friends are conservatives (well, not really :) Everybody play nice, and don't make YA a political forum.

That is easy!

They use the term Liberal to describe all Democrats.

I find that many Republicans it is easier to use those type of terms because, in general, they hate everyone but Wasps who speak English. Theirs is a party of exclusion!

The "Why do" is the 1st two words of a question that has nothing to do with any issue. I find that many Republicans have but one issue: their pocketbook!
