Hey, Bill Clinton made too much money ($10 Million). I think that he is being too capitalistic. I think we should take 90% of that and redistribute to the poor guy who can't / won't get a job.

Liberal is a word that is used in two ways:
1) Someone who fits the traditional description of liberal, as per the dictionary.
2) Socialists.
Socialists have been very unsuccessful in this country. They have no power, so they entered the Democrat party and swung it in their direction. People like me stayed quite while they did it because they were good at fighting the republicans. Little did we realize where it was headed.
I'm silent no longer. They don't speak for me. Republicans are fellow citizens, NOT the enemy.
Socialists don't like capitalism because it is contrary to their entire ideology. Look at public school unions. NO merit pay, everyone gets paid the same amount, no initiative pay, firing is a process that takes years, etc. Everyone works for two reasons: love of the teaching, or it's a pay check so do the minimum.
Don't you stop facing them down, please. I'll do my part from this side of the aisle.

I am a liberal and i do not hate capitalism. This doesn't mean that i blind myself to believing its a perfect system, cuz its not.
Capitalism has great things to offer such as being able to demonstrate your individulality, people can directly have a say in the economy of their country thru stocks, people have the opportunity of fulfilling natural human ambition, but it is also bad becuz of the have-nots of the system. the working class is usually enslaved and not gven equal opportunities. The rich get to be on top of everyone else, driving m-benz while they dont aknowedge that he has that becuz of poor jimmy busting his *** in the rich guys factory. Jobs that are desprately needed here are sent overseas for cheap labor, this only benefits the rich and hurts the average american

Today's liberals love capitalism...see limosine liberal
they love the wealth..it provides the services the consume..and they love the fact the lion's share of them have to do absolutely nothing capitalistic to amass the wealth
they accumulate.
except march the march and think along the lines that are crafted for them to think..and stay within the public sector.
the old line liberals were the party of labor..
**many of them Irish immigrants whose entire goal in life was to obtain a civil service job and get out of the sweat-shop-and send their brood to College...if you notice the inordinate amount of Irish names in the press ..as journalists..press or broadcast.**
also in the group were the educators..authors..and children of the very rich that could afford the best colleges to be indoctrinated into the mindset..

Because they think that Corporate America takes advantage of deregulation to the detriment of most Americans. They have a point - millions of jobs have been taken from hard-working Americans and shipped overseas. That benefits only the rich.
I may not like the idea of imposing regulations on business but since big business has been so incredibly selfish over the past 25 years I'm not going to feel sorry for them when their taxes are raised and regulations are put in place penalizing them for shipping American jobs overseas.
Rich people take the initial risks and provide the engine for our economy, but without workers and consumers, they wouldn't be able to make any money. Unfortunately, Corporate America doesn't care about American workers or consumers. Otherwise, they wouldn't ship millions of American jobs overseas.

The liberals you are most likely referring to hate corporatism. Watching too much Fox News will make you view moderate politicians as socialists. You should try reading a book not written by Sean Hannity.

.Early the 20th century the anti trust laws went into effect (by a republican president) to stop the barrons from controlling prices, even though you may feel that it was non capitalistic the country reaped the rewards. not every control put in place means socialism.
