Treason and a leaking about a CIA agent guess what that is not treason - read the definitions and also she was not a covert operative. And if it was a Cheney offense then Libby should not be going to jail. Plus it was proven that it was a leak from State by Richard Armitage who is not a fan of Dick Cheney. So Libby is just a set up for the Dems.

First, revealing a single covert CIA agent's name is not against the law covering revealing convert names, believe it or not. If it is part of a pattern, and you can show that he knew for sure she was an agent, then its against the law.

However, it certainly is immoral and depraved and may have led to the deaths of CIA agents and certainly ended many careers. The excuse that Richard Armitrage did it first if of course no excuse at all.

The irony that Plame was investigating weapons of mass destruction is of course not lost on critics of the Bush administration.

It also may have broken other laws regarding the leaking of secret information, or executive orders, but I am not sure.

Why is it that you lied in your question? It was not Chenney but Armitage who leaked the information to the journalist. The prosecutor knew it early in his investigation and chose to proceed trying to trip Libby into perjuring himself.
This is very bad for future investigations, because a sane person testifying in front of the Grand Jury should just keep repeating "I do not remember..."

Dude get your facts straight, Libby didn't do the leak, Armitage did, Libby lied about something that never happened, however, even though it never happen it was the lie to the Grand Jury that got him in trouble. He get 30 months for this????? Pulease!

Libby is guilty of nothing except lying to investigators who were trying to nail him on false charges. I used to think there was a 5th amendment and people weren't required to testify against themselves. It shows the viciousness of liberals that they're celebrating him being crucified for not even breaking the law.

They don't, silly girl.
Sandy Berger saved Bill Clinton from being charged with TREASON, when he stole and destroyed classified documents.

Why isn't the Democrat Party being charged with TREASON for supporting the Terrorists?
They should all be.

blah blah blah.. she wasn't covert and was using her position to push her own political agenda. Cry me a river.

But as you say.. treason is treason. So when will you and all the rest of your little liberal pals be showing up to be shot?

He's really a nice guy and you're mixing up your facts, or reasoning. Some people shouldn't propagate what they don't understand.

They defend the Scooter because they know he has the goods on all of them and are afraid of what he might reveal. Also, when you say, "that's the law," perhaps you are unaware of the fact that Republicans do not believe the law applies to them.
