But a WHITE guy (Don Imus) uses an even milder version of these words, and Black people (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson)want the guy to lose his job because of it? What is up with THAT?!? Furthermore, NOW they want to banish the word "ho" from the language! All because a WHITE guy used it! I guess their thought is that if you don't use certain words or talk about certain things, the problem ceases to exist! How very wonderful! What in the world are these liberals thinking?!?

The vice president's only power right now is to lead the Senate (doesn't have to) and to break a tie in the Senate.

about the fact that scientists can barely predict the next hurricane season let alone todays weather report? they said this year was supposed to be the worst hurricane season ever and it wasnt/ They made false predictions about where it would be hot and cold etc. this year and were wrong like they usually are.

How dare they have the audacity to claim they have predicted the fate of the climate 100 years from now to the point where there is "no debate" as Al Gore would put it. Al Gore is just trying to shut down debaet like always when there are thousands upon thousands of scientists who are in very high places who dont beleive this is a cause for such alarm.

this is a country built on the idea of freedom of the press and speech right?...opposing viewpoints SHOULD be aired so that the citizenry can make informed decisions based on their own personal values right? it is a GOOD thing to see what the other side has to say on any issue isnt it? it is then up to you, the now informed citizen, to decide for yourself who and what you agree with and who you want to see representing you in washington or elsewhere. why wouldnt you want differing opinions voiced on our television, radio, cable, and internet media?...this is not, in fact, the old soviet union now is it...

Before I go into details, let me begin by giving you a background. I own a small business and employ 3 full time people. If the government raises my taxes, guess what, I'd have to let at least one of those people go. There are months when I don't take a paycheck because my employees must be paid, quarterly taxes must be paid, bills and expenses have to be paid.

My point is this: The upper class provides jobs for the lower class. Taxing us more is going to cut off the nose of the little guy because I won't be able to afford to keep you employed.

So why do people think that the upper class should be taxed extra? I'm really interested to hear it.

Do you think that tax and spend Democrats will ever propose a tax on assets?

Examples:

Sweden has a .75% tax on individuals who have assets of over ~$215,000 in assets.

France's tax is between .8% and 1.5% for assets over ~$1 million

Spain's tax is between .2% and 2.5% for assets over~$223,000.

Do you think it will ever be proposed in the states, or are we Socialistic enough already?

Global warming is happening. Pretty much everyone understands that. What's causing it is less clear. Some say it's a natural cycle, some say it's largely caused by human emissions. I'm not going to say which because there is no real way to tell, despite what the protagonists of either want to believe. I don't think driving a Prius and changing lightbulbs is going to make a hill of beans difference in the trend, but if that's what floats your boat, go for it.

My question deals with cloud cover. From what I've read, there are two types that are relevant to the GW stuff, high cirrus clouds, and lower cumulus clouds. The cirrus clouds are heat-trappers, cumulus clouds are coolers. Apparently, as an ocean warms, formation of cirrus clouds lessen, and formation of cumulus clouds increases. The net effect is to cool rather than to heat, mitigating other influences on the warming trend.

My question is, why don't the Gore types mention this in all their hooplah and gala events?

They are wise to decline the Decider's invitation and sit this one out. Reid and Nancy Pelosi asked Bush for a meeting about the matter nearly two weeks ago. With nearly two thirds of Americans opposed to how the administration handles this war, its not clear how Bush speaks for the Ameican people.

I have purchased a flat in Portugal and need to set up direct debt to pay bills. I dont like the idea of someone else running my affairs, also my utility bills need to be collected from my flat in order to pay them.
