But a WHITE guy (Don Imus) uses an even milder version of these words, and Black people (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson)want the guy to lose his job because of it? What is up with THAT?!? Furthermore, NOW they want to banish the word "ho" from the language! All because a WHITE guy used it! I guess their thought is that if you don't use certain words or talk about certain things, the problem ceases to exist! How very wonderful! What in the world are these liberals thinking?!?

IMO, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are the biggest racists in the whole United States of America!

Yes racist bigots like Jesse Jackson etc. will always be there to keep racism alive and well, and to make lots of money off of it.

It was stupid what Imus said but honestly no worse than what blacks say all the time every single day ni rap music, ont he streets etc. He is onyl being persecuted because he is white.

The minority which is persecuted based on race the most in the white man.

OK this question has been posted several different times by different people over the last few days. I don't think it is right for anyone to use that type of language. There have been many people who have spoken out on the language of the rappers, but if you don't like the language...don't listen to it. I feel that Imus made a big mistake, but it definitely doesn't deserve all this crazy media attention, especially when the are more horrible things are going on in this world.

I was thinking this over in my car this morning. I think Imus said something that is what can be generally considered rude and a little over the top. He should apologize and refrain from using that kind of language on air. I don't think he should loose his jobs, because as you said so many people in the world are able to use even worse language and get PAID for it. There should be ONE standard of desency in the world that we all abide by; white, black or purple. No woman should be disrespected and referred to as a "ho". As for nappy headed... well honestly it's a little funny. I'm a black woman, and when I wash my hair and don't blow it out...it gets nappy. And I'm not gonna cry cause someone points it out. But the "ho" part was a little much.

Imus was broadcasting a college sporting event. I think we hold them to a higher standard because of the audience. When people listen to rap music, they ususally aren't going to be surprised by the vulgarities, because it runs with the territory. It should not run with the territory when it is regarding a college sporting event. He crossed the line because of the local he said it in. If he wanted to say a few lines like that on a rapper's song, I'm sure people wouldn't have even noticed.

My neighbor & I were talking about that the other day.He explained to me that its a black folk thing( he's black). He said that no other race would ever understand it & that noone else can use the kinda language that they use. They're the only ones that can say hey ho,or my n****.I told him I don't understand it!Why not just get rid of that stuff all together & RESPECT WOMEN & others by not using offensive words? That's exactly why I DON"T listen to rap music. He kept insisting that its a black thing & not to ? it.I told him its a stupid thing!Don Imus needs to be left alone. If rappers & everyone else are able to say whatever they want, so should he!

Totally agree. If the people calling for Imus's resignation are so adamant about it, then make them campaign against the lanuguage that is being pushed into our mainstream media via rappers and R&B. There are so many things said about gay people and nothing done about it, but when someone uses mild language about women, everyone goes up in arms about it.

Because the only people who listen to black rappers are blacks and wiggers. Imus listeners are primarily white, middle aged and middle class. They love to get their panties in a muddle.

Set Imus, those rappers, Sharpton, Jackson, and the rest of their ilk on fire. Move on.
