"I am a retired U.S Navy sailor teaching high school science. The Bush administration has offered nothing new to Iran. They say they want to negotiate, but only if Iran gives up everything before the negotiations. Why should they expect Iran to agree? The administration wants to deny Iran the right, given to them by the NPT, to make fuel for peaceful reactors. The US claims that Iran is building nuclear weapons, but they provide no evidence that is true. We all know how accurate their claims were on the WMD, and everything else about Iraq and its threat."

Nadeem called from London to ask why the world should trust Iran when it has bought nuclear technology from AQ Khan, the Pakistani nuclear scientist who illegally sold nuclear secrets.

In response, Khaled from bangladesh sent a text message from his mobile phone:
"Iran has right to take any decision for their country. Iran is a independent country, iran has right to use their scientist."

No? Too Bad...because here it comes and here's why.

1) Late 1980's early 1990's Monsanto, Carhgill, Archer/Daniels/Midland start rolling out GMO (genetically modified) crops (wheat, soy, rice etc.) worldwide. No testing, no oversight, no discussion if it's even a good idea...they just did it. All of these crops are genetically modified to be insect resistant.
GMO info...

2) Starting in the mid 1990's reports start surfacing of declines in honey bee populations. Studies are undertaken and find that honey bees are declining rapidly with no apparent explanation. The latest reports show an average 60% worldwide decline with as much as 80% in many areas.

3) So what? Ask Einstein...
"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man," said Albert Einstein.

Can you say oops?

The Tennessee House of Representatives passed a bill on Monday that states that no authority can prevent any school from using Native American Mascots. I am appalled. I goes to the Senate next Tuesday. Please let our government know how we feel about this. This represents a lack of respect for the Native people. The country would never be able to get away with this if they were using any other ethnic group.

I found this girl, and I just feel so bad. If you look at her first videos, she weighed 230 lbs... She decided to become anorexic to lose weight. She is married and has a son. Her son needs a mother. If she dies, it just makes me sick to think it was in vain, and it was so selfishly. If you look at her most recent video, she now weighs 130. In about 7 months she lost 100 lbs. That is NOT healthy. She eats less then 450 calories a day, only prezels and apple sauce, and binges at night, then throws it up. She looks sick. I just feel sick thinking about it...

My question is... This girl has documented her entire journey if you will, on youtube. People can physically see her wasting away. This should NOT be allowed. To hurt yourself when you have a child is child abuse in my mind. Its as bad a drugs. Someone needs to make this junk illegal. This girl almost seems as if she started more for attention then anything... UHG!

It seems that our goverment (US) has managed to brain wash us in to thinking Iran is a threat to other nations specialy USA. The fact is they have attacked another nation in over 200 years but we have started more in the past 50 years than any other. They research Nuclear tech. and we try to stop them when we are the only nation to use a nuclear bomb(twice). Their President mentioning the distruction of Israeli government(not ppl) is seen more evil than our President actually distroying a whole nation (Iraq)... So is Iranin goverment a threat to mankind or our goverment?

Congress approval has risen 15% since the Democrats have taken office, surpassing even the President. Are the major networks reporting the news from a biased perspective because the majority of the American people seem to want our troops out of Iraq and want a timetable for return?

Do you think that makes newscasters so outraged that they present their own points of view. The 3 front runners for the democratic nomination have declined to attend a debate sponsored by FOX News. Do you think they feel like they have to stand up for the President becuase other networks greatly criicize the President's policies regarding Iraq?

Please keep it civil.

I'm talking about *metropolitan* areas--not just the cities themselves. For example, while Denver, Colorado is somewhat moderate, the surrounding suburbs (about 75% of the metro area) are very evangelical and conservative.

Here's my list:

Conservative

1.) Nashville
2.) Boise
3.) Colorado Springs
4.) Denver
5.) Phoenix

Liberal

1.) Detroit
2.) San Francisco
3.) Portland, OR
4.) Boston
5.) Seattle

What do you think of my list? What does your list look like?

With regards to 'global climate change' (aka Global Warming) is there any real scientific debate or has it become a force operating beyond and without the realm of logic? Have we too quickly cast ourselves as villains while ignoring greater forces then ourselves?
What do you believe? Do you believe that this debate is fair and balanced or lopsided and reaching absurd proportions? Should we ask the political leadership to stop meddling in the realms of science which they know little if anything about? What say you?

Nothing can put the big hurt on Oil companies more than global warming.

Since Big Oil contributes 95% to Republicans and averages only about 5% to 8% to democrats, could this be an attempt to take away some of the power that the Republicans hold so dear?

If you think about it, it makes sense! A rapid push to change enviromental awarness will hurt Big Oil and will hurt the GOP!

But how bad will it hurt us at the pump. I don't think anyone want to step on the toes of big oil, so Global Warming is the next best thing - an indirect attack.

Hi Everyone!

What if I were to tell you that the results of the next local, state, or even Presidential election could be controlled by a handfull of people with just a very basic understanding of computers?

In his new book, "Brave New Ballot", Dr. Aviel Rubin points out the blatant security flaws inherent in the new generation of electronic DRE voting machines.

According to Dr. Rubin:

"The electronic voting machines being used in 37 states are vulnerable to tampering, and because the manufaturers are not required to reveal -- even to the government -- how they operate, voters will never know if their votes are recorded accurately."

"All votes are recorded on a single removable card similar to the one in a digtal camera. There is no way to determine if the card or the code that operates the machine have been tampered with."

"It's very easy to change votes, There's no way to determine if that has happened."

Now is our chance to fight back! There is currently l
