His comments were disgraceful. His apology was ... at best .... a well scripted, self-promoting attempt at redemption. Why aren't liberals UP IN ARMS??? I am so confused...Rush was fired from ESPN for his McNabe comment...why aren't liberals insisting on Imus' termination!?!?!?

Why would they be? They gave "It's hard out there for a pimp" an Oscar. It's odd that Imus gets to take a two week vacation while Savage was fired in about 12 hours. I guess it pays to carry water for the Limousine Liberals

i think of what Imus stated replaced right into slightly distinctive than asserting: Torain additionally noted as the couple's infant a ``little 0.5 a lo mein eater'' and stated he had to ``do an R. Kelly on your seed, on your little woman descendant. i might want to tinkle on her,'' in accordance to the excerpts. yet ok regardless of. Imus is lengthy gone, who cares. I even have an stronger issue with Jimmy the Greek and Rush Limbaugh being fired over their comments whilst Michael Irvin and Bryant Gumble stated issues that have been equivalent or worse. besides it is not correct, whites will take it on the chin in the commonplace public section till they get it collectively and value networks actual money for his or her duplicity. in the lengthy run the Imus firing is a sturdy ingredient for whites.

He called some chicks "nappy headed ho's". Being called a ho isnt a racial slur, and being called nappy headed isnt really a slur either. If you do have nappy hair, and someone points it out, I dont see how that is a slur against a particular group of people.

Now if the woman he referred to does have nappy hair and sleeps around, then she is indeed a "nappy headed ho". I do now know who he was talking about, so I cannot confirm or deny her "nappy headed ho'ness"

I am OUTRAGED that people still listen to that racist sharpton.

I think this country is crazy how one group of people can have every advantage, and limit it to their own and still not be considered racists. For example, BET, black entertainment television, if I were to create WET, I'd be shut down instantly as a racist. Or if I were to create a white only college, or a white only college fund, or a white only Miss America, or any other white only group that the blacks have.

I grew up in NYC, being white, I was considered a minority, in school every program I tried to get into, I was barred from because I was white. If I tried to get a job, I was told they were not hiring, yet while I am talking to the manager, 2 black kids come in and get applications for jobs, when I question this, the reply was "they are the last 2 applications available, sorry"

If we are all equal, then abolish all that crap that is black only and let everyone have the same opportunities in life.

Now some may call me a racist because I pointed this out how america is one sided, but I am not a racist. I believe there is only one race, the human race.

What makes you think they're not?
Any thinking person knows how much talent and hard work it takes to play on a nationally ranked college basketball team, and knows how despicable it is to assign vulgar, racist terms to a person who has acheived that.

Maybe you're confused because you actually think there are "liberals" who give a damn about Imus, or who even listen to him.
He's only considered liberal by right wing standards because he's not on the RNC payroll like the rest of the radio jerks.

Yeah, when you listen to any Rap or Hip Hop "song" and fire/destroy all of those disgraceful and disgusting comments and racial slurs about women of every race then talk to me about one stupid comment from one old guy. He apologized, he got suspended. Might I add that NBC is more responsible than ABC that allows Rosie's mouth to run unchecked on a daily basis.

Why weren't they outraged by Sharpton's fraudulent accusation of a white police officer in the Tawana Brawley case? Why does this racist have any cred with anyone? How about Jesse Jackson's himey town comment? These are the pots calling the kettle black...oops. Not to be taken out of context.

because if you had a brain youd realize it was a complete over reaction. he made a comment about a group of people who the hell cares. if some one made a comment about a bunch of white kids it would have rolled off everyones shoulders. its completely ridiculous that racism can only be used towards people of color when it happens to those who are not. imus made a comment sure it may hav been a little harsh but its nothing to cry over and to take over the evening news. if this was such a horrible comment then rappers should be put on the death sentence. you dont see al sharpton going after 50 cent. basically your creating racism by saying his words are racists while rap stars are not. rappers lyrics are a million times worse then his remark, get over it you idiot

You shouldn't generalize. I can't stand Rush but even I thought he got a raw deal from ESPN.
Imus apologized on his own show and others. What else do you want him to do? If you don't believe it's sincere then that's your own bias slipping through.

because LIBERALS won't attack their own. If it was Limbaugh who said it, they would be through the roof.

I understand Imus is to meet the basketball team face to face to appologize. Only a LIBERAL would go face to face with these ladies and won't understand why they won't accept his appology for calling them nappy headed whores. He's a good person after all, yeah right, if someone called his daughter a whore he'd have them arrested.

They should throw this guy off of the radio, he's a idiot, I can't believe anyone listens to him anyway. I hope he swallows his gum and dies!!!

I think the guy should be fired.

And I sincerely think it's going to happen before all is said and done.

Rush wasn't fired and I never thought his comments were all that bad to begin with, either. I didn't agree with what he had to say about McNabb, but he wasn't mocking him or trying to be humorous at the expense of someone else.

Imus is getting everything he deserves so far, and I hope he gets the axe.
