Because that is what democrats do best. Instead of doing things right, they point fingers and tell you what you are doing wrong. If they are so smart, why haven't they fixed all the problems they are blaming on republicans?

Because, unlike the prosecutors fired by the Clinton administration, and every other administration before that, the Bush administration slipped a proviso into the Patriot Act that bypassed Senate confirmations for appointees.
On top of that, the fired attorneys were either pursuing cases against Republicans, or not pursuing enough bogus prosecutions against Democrats in tight races.
And it's only a waste of time if you are anti-American (i.e., you love your party more than your country.)

House Democrats are putting the final touches on a contract with a private law firm that they will use to investigate the perfectly legal firing of eight federal prosecutors. This is nothing more than a ruse and a political game that will cost tax payers $225,000. Well, that is what the contract is for but we all know that there will be over runs and it will end up costing much more. That is the way the government does things, especially those in Congress who do not have to follow proper contracting procedures.
Basically, the Democrats have their panties in a wad because George Bush’s administration was not as careful about politically motivated firings as was the Clinton administration. You see, there were eight prosecutors that Bush’s people wanted gone so that is how many they got rid of. The claim is that it was for political reasons related to investigations and that might well be but I do not think there is an exception for that under the description of “at will” employees. Clinton did the same thing but he was smarter, or more politically savvy about it. He needed to fire one prosecutor who was investigating and getting ready to drop the bomb on Clinton supporter and friend, Dan Rostenkowski. Dan was a bad Congressman who Clinton needed to protect but if he had fired one prosecutor it would have been suspicious so Clinton fired the whole lot. This only put off the inevitable as Rostenkowski was found guilty of mail fraud. However, Clinton pardoned him. Bush is under investigation because he did not get rid of all 93 prosecutors. Of course if he had, the dems would be complaining about that as well.

well... right now they are working on checks and balances... and trying to keep Bush straight... some people believe that they should be doing that, some dont'...
but frankly... social security, medicare and alt min tax was never really that high on their agenda, from what I heard out of them...
they are concerns, but not priorities for them... so, that's probably why they aren't dealing with those issues...
but they have dealt with issues like the minimum wage, school loans, the budget and tax/spending issues...
now, granted, it's probably not ideal, but overall, I see them getting a lot more done than the Republicans did...

SS can't be fixed with the Administration that still stands. They are looking into attorney generals who were FIRED because they found evidence of criminal activity against the administration, and would like solid proof before they move on.

The Democrats aren't going to pass anything that President Bush can get credit for. They talked a good game, to their base, but they are too set on revenge to do anything of substance. That's what I like about them. As long as they're in control, they won't do anything, like raise my taxes or create some other social entitlement.

Because the Democrats have no agenda to put forward in Congress.
No healthcare program
No tax program
No Middle East program
No global warming program.
No program for relations with Cuba
No nothing.
They are a party without a cause.
Bush is eating them for lunch.

Face it. Fish swim. Birds fly. Frogs have airtight asssholes. And democrats pick fights with republicans instead of doing what they were elected to do. It's all revenge for what Bill Clinton did to himself!
