Global warming is happening. Pretty much everyone understands that. What's causing it is less clear. Some say it's a natural cycle, some say it's largely caused by human emissions. I'm not going to say which because there is no real way to tell, despite what the protagonists of either want to believe. I don't think driving a Prius and changing lightbulbs is going to make a hill of beans difference in the trend, but if that's what floats your boat, go for it.

My question deals with cloud cover. From what I've read, there are two types that are relevant to the GW stuff, high cirrus clouds, and lower cumulus clouds. The cirrus clouds are heat-trappers, cumulus clouds are coolers. Apparently, as an ocean warms, formation of cirrus clouds lessen, and formation of cumulus clouds increases. The net effect is to cool rather than to heat, mitigating other influences on the warming trend.

My question is, why don't the Gore types mention this in all their hooplah and gala events?

Because they're addressing people who will take their words at face value without question. You've bothered to educate yourself further, which takes you out of the Gore/GW Kneejerkers' realm of influence.

Because that would tend to negate the problem and take money out of their pockets. You have to understand that this whole GW issue is driven by money. There are literally billions of dollars in funding at stake here. By not exposing all the facts, the GW alarmist crowd is banking on even more big money in the future. Yes we should be good stewards of the environment but not take it to a level that is not warranted. I would like a well thought out plan to help us get off of foreign oil. That alone would solve many problems.

Because we can't control things like the type of cloud cover we have. We can control how much energy we use, and whether our Govt has their heads up their butts. In fact, if a substatial number of people drove fuel efficient, low emission cars (deosn't have to be a Prius), and used compact flourescent bulbs in thier house, it would make a huge difference. My electric bill dropped immediatley after I switched bulbs. We have to control what we can.

the science behind 'an inconvenient truth' has been under heavy scrutiny by the opposing camp on the global warming issue. al gore has an agenda that has absolutely nothing to do with the environment or pollution, it has everything to do with environmental socialism and the fact that opposing scientists and their data are being systematically marginalized, demonized, ignored, and suppressed tells me everything i need to know about this issue. science does not suppress debate, it DESIRES it, for that is the way to the truth and for al gore to say the debate is over and consensus has been reached while one side is screaming to be heard should give you much good reason to pause.

The Global Warming discussion addresses the issue of Human activity like deforestation-creating waist lands (see Africa), pollution through waist of energy and so one.
Instead embracing the discussion, to improve our quality of live, some hacks want to cut the last tree down and suffocate without oxygen. This I refer to as ignorant hill billy's.

Firstl, you must understand Global Warming is nothing more than a tool by One World Marxists. Unfortunately, there are a lot of convinient idiots who don't understand the REAL agenda which is to attack the US economy and bring us closer to the rest of the world.
