Many questions remain unanswered about this strange capture not in the least about why the apparent cooperation with the Iranian military.

Billy - There are loads of unanswered questions 1. Why were UK troops unsupported by the mother ship in higly disputed waters. 2 Why did the UK helicopter support leave them. 3. Why were the UK troops so cooperative. 4 Why were the UK troops allowed to sell their stories to the press - contravening the Official Secrets Act and so on............

There were NO unanswered questions. There was evidence that the wacko Iranians kidnapped a group of British soldiers by using overwhelming force, in Iraq waters. GPS is absolute and it showed that the sailors were NOT in Iranian waters as the Iranians claimed.
I think the Iranians saw an opportunity and took it. They wanted to force an apology from England for something they did not do. When they realized they would not get this, they forced it from the captured sailors and then released them.
It was a shameful demonstration of wacko thinking by the leaders of Iran. That way of thinking will in time, be the cause of their destruction.

UK had used negotiation with Iran for the release of the British sailors taken hostage and there is a spin as an exchange.

Apparently they released them around easter as a good will thing because of the holidays but im unsure of the whole thing. The apology seemed to be to just rub it in but i rarely watch the news so that last statement probablys entirely false.

na we could not deal with another war right now. iran no they cannot beat us in a war so will not try they will always play dirty thats why the same day they killed 4 soilders they released 15 to say they are good when they are just sponsers of terrorists.
