Their pigheaded, arrogant, meglamaniacal leader would have came clean about f****** up in Iraq, and dumped Rumsfield long ago? This should serve as a microcosm of how things go when you "stay the course" when you are on the wrong course.

I am not a democrat and do not know if they will turly be any better. But I think they will be better than what we had. C'mom dems, do us proud.

I've heard talk that the Dems might attempt to ban conservative talk radio if they were to regain power ( which they have obviously done ). The reasoning behind this is that talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity have the power to sway a close election ( mostly in the favor of the Republicans ) through the mobilization of their millions of listeners. Not that it matters to me one way or the other, but it seems that if they find the ability to do this, then they can certainly shut up anyone else they feel might threaten them. Could this be the beginning of our loss of freedom of speech? At the very least, don't you feel it would set a dangerous precedent if they were able to accomplish this? Personally, I look for them to try this. Think about it and what it might mean to you and I.

If the goal of Bush was to have a democratic society in Iraq, then how come they do not allow them to vote if they want america to stay.

For personal reasons my husband and I cannot use contraceptives. We really can not afford to have another child right now. But I can't deny him sex, either. We make too much money to get any type of social service but we would go bankrupt if we have another kid. Does anybody have any advice? I feel like only people with money should be allowed to have sex but how is this fair?

This is an honest question and I am seeking an honest answer. It isn't an attempt to bash Rebublicans, Democrats, Independents or any party affiliation, so please don't.

You are walking home from work one evening and are attacked from behind. Your attacker doesn't take your wallet or purse and run, they want to beat and then kill you.

Someone passes by and you scream and beg for help. Of course, we would hope that anyone would help but this isn't always the case. Taking into consideration political parties and what they represent, which party do you hope that this person is and why?

If you cannot compare lifes issues in this manner, no problem - don't answer. If you can, I'd like to hear your answer.

And suppose that the same thing happened to the bankers in the Bank of London. And after a big trial, all the elite bankers were executed.

Would the economy suffer for it, or would somebody else just step up and take over the money manipulator's role? If so, who would the replacements be?

ruining America's families. It is the conservative's fiscal/social policies that don't help people out who need help. Not every family has the luxury to have a stay at home parent with inflation and the mass of low paying jobs. My mother had to work, and I admire her for that, she had to do what she had to do. She divorced an abusive man, and had to stand on her own. I appreciate all she has done for me w/ what little resources she had. Sure, I'd love it if all moms got to stay home, however, it is a luxury--and out of the reach of most people. Do you agree or disagree?

I am really sick of all the stupidy around the world and how the govt mistreats its citizens so I have come to the conclusion that the only way to escape it is to start a new country built on an artificial island in international waters. It would have complete democracy so that its citizens could directly vote on the laws and the govt would not be able to do anything without the citizens approval. To keep the country as safe and smart as possible it would screen all citizens wishing to immigrate. A cornerstone would be logic and common sense so everything could be rethought from scratch instead of taking from tradition. Taxes would be much lower than any other country because the govt would be kept in check of its spending, there would not be a offensive military force to sustain and there would not be people leaching of society. Do you think that this possible and what hurdles would the citizens face during the setup of this country? (Only serious answers please.)
